John weakly flashed a smile at Merlin. "S-sorry..." He murmured. Black spots were starting o cloud his vision.

Kota shook her head slightly. "I wonder where all you've gone sometimes." She mumbled with a fond smile.

Merlin cradled his head. "I-it's not your fault," he whispered, pulling him into a hug. "I'll. . . I'll remember you. . ." He held John's back up, sniffling a little. "I promise. A thousand years, I'll still remember you.." He finally said, looking straight at him.

"I went into space as soon as the 456 was sorted out. Couldn't face Earth," he said gently. "Went back about a year later, though."

"W-went... grimdark..." John was obviously struggling talk anymore. His head limply leaned against Merlin's chest as he closed his eyes and was utterly still.

"Why couldn't you face Earth?" Kota asked as she looked up at him.

Merlin looked down at John, fighting the tears that were springing to his eyes. "It's not your fault. You couldn't control it." He said, breathing shakily. He sobbed into John's hood when he went still, slumping forward.
He punched the floor, sobbing quite loudly. He fell on the floor, crying into his new sleeve, but it didn't get wet. He shouted again, head falling to one side.

Jack looked back at her, letting their eyes meet. "Because that was the planet Ianto died on. I had to fix things before I left."

Oddly enough, the blood on John's shirt didn't fade away like it normally would've.
Casey approached Merlin with a small frown. "He'll wake up." She assured.

Kota averted her gaze and looked back down at the grass. "Oh.. Yeah, that makes sense." She mumbled.
