'Who the bloody hell is Lance?'She thought,but quickly shrugged it off. "All you had to do was open the gate and knock on the door."Felix smelled hunter uncertainly. He was a huge dog,but even he couldn't compete with a wolf. She knocked on the door and another maid opened it. "Ari wants you upstairs.Now."

Mayia winced a bit, looking down. A man wearing a suit was walking down the stairs of the large house. "Ah. The maid." He chuckled, looking at Thaddeus. "Everyone's waiting and Ari's getting impatient." He smirked slyly. He stepped aside and looked out the door. "Mayia. This way this way." He greeted happily. Some people were socializing. It seems like a reunion was happening.

Mayia was hesitant, but she followed them in. Hunter following Mayia, but the people at the door didn't seem to allow animals, so Hunter sat down obediantly, waiting.

Ari tapped her foot impatiently.She was a nice enough girl,to people of the same social class and people she liked,but not to the help. Oh,never to the help.Espescially not to the Masculine sounding,sorry excuse for a maid,"Thaddeus!"She calleddown the stairs as she heard a door open and shut.

Thaddeus sighed as she heard that sniveling brat's high pitched chime of a voice shout for her. She came up the stairs."yes,Ms.Crowley?"She asked with forced politeness.

"Walk me down the Grand Staircase and into the dining hall."She ordered.

The woman who stood beside Ari was her younger brother, Kayne. He was always annoyed with his sister but he had to stay by her side regardless because it was their mother's dying wish. Kayne waved a bit to Thaddeus with a sweet little smile, but it wasn't log till Ari snapped at him for that.

Mayia looked around the area. It was flooded with people that were dressed to grandly. She stood out for dressing so plainly. Lance urged her to move forward. "Don't mind them. It's still a party. Think of yurself as one of the family." He said kindly, but he had something up his sleeve. Mayia nodded to him timidly though.

Thaddeus gave him a smile back. He knew if it wasn't for him,she'd have quit this job a long time ago. Sighing,she took Ari's arm and led her down the stairs.

Ari held herhead high as if she were the most important person in the entire room,which she thought she was.

Heads turned as Ari walked down the steps. Her cousins, aunts, uncles and more, watching like this were a pagent. They clapped so they wouldn't have to hear her complaining later. Mayia didn't know what was happening and stood in the background silently.

Kayne followed behind them, stepping lightly and making sure not to be seen. Ari hated to be seen with him, but she took advantage of him anyway, labeling him as a butler even though he was her brother. He was only fourteen, but he did the work of a maid.

Once they reached the bottom of the stairs,Thaddeus released that brat-I mean Ari's arm and curtsied.She strongly disliked the girl as she was one of the few people Thad had dislike before she even met them.She shook her head and walked back over to Kayne. She grinned at him and ruffled his hair. "So what 's been going on with you?Ari getting to you?" Felix came out from his hiding place behind the stairs and licked the boy.

Ari smiled and princess waved. "Hello,Everyone.Are you enjoying yourselves?"Everyone replied,"yes,Ms.Crowley."

Kayne smiled and laughed a little. "She may be my sister, but she can be kind. It's just.... really really deep." He said, smiling awkwardly. "Oh. Uncle Matthew got something for all the help here. I told him I'd give some out." He took out an envolope and handed it to Thaddeus. "Here." He smiled.

Lance looked away from Ari and at Mayia. "That's the master of the house. Well one of them. There's also her father, her younger brother and two older siblings." He chuckled. Lance was Ari's older brother, although he didn't tell Mayia that. He was back in town after finishing his studies overseas. Mayia nodded a bit. "She's pretty." She said, looking up at Lance.

Thaddeus took the envelope and post it in the pocket one her apron,which wasn't very dep considering how short theoutfit was. She frowned at the pocket. "Seriously,who's Idea were these uniforms."She shook her head and smiled at Kayne. "So what would you like to do?I'mnot really supposed to be doing anything other than helping your sister."

Ari flounced around the room eing graceful and making sure everyone here was of theproper social class to be in the same room as her.She saw her brother talking to a girl who looked slightly nervous.

Lance just chuckled. "She can be a pain sometimes though." He said to Mayia. He looked at the catering table. "I'll get us some punch." He smiled and walked to the table before Mayia could say anything.

Mayia sighed, looking down at her hands timidly. She was scared with all thesepeople here. They were dressed so regaly and she stood out. A plain white dress with long sleeves like this didn't fit in at all. But here she was.

Kayne shrugged an smiled. "Let's go something you want this time, Thad." He smiled. "It's your turn for some fun." He said kindly. He may barely be a teenager, but he ws kinder than most people.
