Thaddeus managed to pick up a pocket watch and a few pounds before she made it to the end of the street she was on. She pulled her scarf up over her nose and pulled a coin from a man's pocket. She smiled to herself and began making her way toward the nearest pawn shop. She frowned as she thought she heard shouts,but she quickly shrugged it off and began walking a little quicker toward her destination.

The thugs wee getting scared as well as angry. 'We don't take orders from old men!' They snapped, shooting their guns. Skye jumped up and vanished quickly, but not before he was shot in the leg and the chest. He appeared in a secluded part of town and lay in shadows. 'A wizard!' The townspeople who witnessed cried out, running rapid down the streets. The thugs fearful.

Knight was sanding in the pawnshop, looking over some jewelry he had swiped. This ought to get me something nice. He chuckled at his thought and cashed in. He put all the money he got in a wallet he stole and shoved it in his pocket.

Thaddeus shoved open the door to the pawn shop,shouldered her way past some man who was putting money in his wallet and dropped the pocket watch on the counter. "How much is it worth?"She asked impatiently. More shouts sounded outside and she shifted nervously from foot to foot. Felix whimpered and moved closer to her leg.

Knight smirked, glancing at the girl. "What's it to you?" He looked a lot like Skye but had platinum blonde hair that was short and dressed more modernly. His dull golden eyes glimmering while he inspected a few other things.

She looked at the man out of the corner of her eyes and glared. "Because I'm kind of starving and i would like to eat sometime before the next century."She said. The old man at the counter sighed and took he pocket watch and hand Thaddeus a few bills. She crammed them in her pocket and started towards the door.

Knight smirked and began to follow. "You know it doesn't matter. As long as it's worth something." He chuckled. "Here. I'll treat you to a meal. What do you say?" He said, smiling kindly while walking beside the girl.

Skye had taken the bullets out of his body and stood as if nothing had happened. He was very good at hiding his pain. He had to wait til nightfall until he could heal himself. Taking an herb from his cloak, he swallowed it to ease the pain slightly. He stood outside an old bakery to rest, leaning against the wall and looking up at the cloudy, grey sky.

Thaddeus sighed and lookedat him out of the corner of her eye again. "Alright"She sighed, "Felix,Come."The dog trotted behind his owner quickly. Her stomach growled again and she placed a hand over itto silence it. Thad yanked her scarf up over her mouth again as they stepped out into the cold air.

Knight smirked and chuckled a bit at the dog's name. "Isn't Felix a cat's name?" He said, his smirk never leaving his face while they walked towards a bakery not too far away. The smell of freshly cooked break and pastry filling the air. The people were more calm, but shifty. Something was wrong.

Thaddeus shrugged. "I don't think names should be limited to a certain thing. That and It made me feel better when I was little since I have a boy's name."She said,giving a half-smile which quickly disappeared as she saw the people in front of her shifting around nervously. "Felix,heel."She muttered. There was definately something up.

"I'm Knight by the way. Knight Akitora." Knight said with a smile. "Don't pay them any mind. The bakery's just over here." He said, leading her over to a brightly coloured store. The shelves stocked with baked goods and the smell leaking out from the door when people entered and left.
