There's really no plot, it's kinda like the original naruto except it's a new generation. The original characters grew up and got families of their own. Their kids now take their place. Yes the original characters are still alive they are in their 30's or older, and yes you can play as them.

looks: Rin has pale skin and black hair. Her right eye is silver while her left eye looks like Yasuo's right eye. She wears her leaf headband like Kakashi sensei to hide her eye. No one knows about it nor do they know about the seven tailed fox that's sealed in her.
other: Yasuo is a made up character. He's a seven tailed fox that was sealed inside of Rin when she was a baby, her whole clan died while a old lady in the leaf village took her in an raised Rin until she was 5, that's when the old lady died.
