Gemma nodded, and fell asleep, not too far from the fire. She was going to stay close to it. She didn't want anything to get her in the night. The monkey ended up sleeping curled around her feet. When she started to dream, she regretted falling asleep. She was in the boat, with everyone, and then the rain started. Then the wave came, and in her dream, she screamed, and was overboard. When she reached the beach, her family was there, but they were dead. All her friends, dead, everyone. Even the monkey was dead. Gemma bolted awake, tears on her face. She sniffled and wiped the tears away, and saw Faith and Lance, the sun starting to rise behind them.
She looked around, and saw most people were sleeping. "I'm taking a walk," she muttered to Faith and Lance. She pushed herself up, not letting anyone see the tears on her face. She hated crying in front of people. She speedily walked along the white sand, and finally, waded into the ocean very slowly. She sat down, pulling off her shoes and putting her feet in the water. When she heard a chattering noise, she realized the monkey had come after her. "So what now?" she said to it, feeling a bit stupid for talking to a monkey, but there wasn't really anyone else she could talk to. She wanted to see her little sister and brother, and her mom and dad. She pulled her knees under her chest, laid her head on her knees and wrapped her arms around herself. Then she really allowed herself to cry. She didn't want to be weak, but she'd really never been on her own before. It had always been her dream to be alone, independent, but that was when she had a job and an apartment and a college, not stranded in on an island in the middle of the ocean.
I will always be thankful for chickensmoothie and awesomesauce for cultivating in me a love for collaborating with others to create something great. This community has always been and will hopefully continue to be amazing! Young little RPers that are just starting out, my advice to you is KEEP GOING! As you mature, so will your writing, I know that roleplaying did wonders for mine, even though I was terrible when I first started. Keep on keeping on, chickensmoothie! Also staff if possible please never delete my account because i love to get back on and read what was once long ago lol
