Selene paused for a moment. "Maybe I should rephrase it to something you would prefer then. I wish I hadn't met her. It's a bit difficult to go through your whole life thinking that your mother gave you up because she died. Mine has been living happily in Russia, and left me with someone who game me to social services. I got put with a horrible family, but still never blamed my mother. Because I thought it wasn't her fault. It was horrible really, so maybe I should rephrase since I can't help that because if I said I wish she had been dead, then you would be mad no? How about a new one. I wish I had died. Maybe then I wouldn't have had to be with that horrible family, happy now," she said calmly. After that she shook her head. "Why don't you go on, I think I'll find something else to do," Selene said and without waiting for a response she turned and ran back towards her mother's house. She had seen some thick woods near it, and hoped it was at least a forest. Once she had reached what she was looking for she shifted and just ran. It felt better than standing still, that was for sure.

Lindin ran after Selene. It was dangerous running around here. There weren't any rules restricting hunting, there were siberian tigers and bears in the russian wilderness that prefered not to be disturbed by an abnormally large wolf. "Selene! Wait!", he shouted and shifted once there was enough cover, "Stop!"

Selene continued to run away from Lindin, she ran past a shack that seemed like one a hunter would stay in. Smoke was coming from the chimney, but she didn't pay attention to this. Soon she heard a gun shot, and felt an incredible pain in her shoulder.

Lindin tackled the hunter that had shot Selene. He threw the limp man against a tree where they hit with a dull thud and crumpled into a heap at the base of the tree. "Selene!", he panted, "Shift back, now". If he wanted to get her out with out too much suspiscion, she needed to be in human form.

Selene shifted back as soon as Lindin mentioned it. At first she still had no idea what was going on, besides the incredible pain in her shoulder .Then after she shifted back she saw all of the blood gushing from her shoulder. She looked away, the site of blood making her a bit uneasy as she attempted to stand, but fell back again.

"We need to get you to a hospital", Lindin sighed and scooped Selene up. He walked back to the house, ignoring the blood that was all over his shirt by now. "Serdin! Sarah! We've got a problem", he shouted.

Sarah was sitting on Serdin's lap when Lindin walked in. "What sort of problem?", she sighed and stood up quickly. Walking into the hall, she froze seeing all the blood. "What happened?!", she gasped.

Selene was starting to feel a bit drowsy from blood loss, the room was spinning. "Oh nothing much, I just got shot," she said, her regular attitude not fazed at all by this as her eye drooped and closed completely. She couldn't open them, even though she was still awake.

Serdin brushed past Sarah and grabbed Selene from Lindin. "Let's get her banaged up quick", he muttered and carried her to the living room, where he put her on the floor.

"Your daughter doesn't understand that she needs to be more careful around strange places", Lindin mumbled, "Specifically different countries...".

Sarah quickly went into the kitchen and came back out with banages. "Just hold still Selene", she said soft;y and wiped blood away from the wound.

"Shut up," Selene muttered feebly to Lindin as she started to feel even more tired. She hardly even heard what they were saying, or felt Sarah wipe the blood off of her shoulder

"The bullet bled out", Sarah said thankfully. She started to wrap Selene's shoulder quietly.

Lindin grinned and shook his head. "You're rather unhappy about how I just carried you through the russian wilderness", he teased.

Serdin shot a glare at Lindin, which shut him up quickly. He returned to watching Sarah work on Selene's arm.
