So who is ready to make some science? Let me introduce myself. I'm Cave Johnson. I own the place. As founder and CEO of Aperture Science, I thank you for your participation and hope we can count on you for another round of tests. We're not going to release this stuff into the wild until it's good and damn ready, so as long as you keep yourself in top physical form, there will always be a limo waiting for you.

Story

You have just applied for a job at Aperture Laboratories! A large facility made to help mankind solve problems and create one thing: science! You are a test subject, meaning you attempt difficult tests that put you through hard thought and physical training using a gun, but not the type that creates bullet holes, no this one creates portals. The robots of the facility will help you out. Good luck, for science!

Rules

Genders
Please try to keep the Genders even. This meaning that if there are
5 Males and 10 Girls, don't go and make another 5 girls.

Cussing
Most cussing is not allowed, please respect this. The only two words
allowed are damn and hell.

Posts
Try to post at least once a week, if you can't for some reason
please let me know, otherwise you will be removed from the RP.

CS Rules
All of Tess' rules apply to this RP. Please respect them.
Violators will be kicked.

Power Playing
Power Playing is when you make your character "invincible" and
such. Please don't do this.

Self Dating
Self dating is when your own character dates another one of your character.
Please don't do that, it gets boring.

Creatures

Humans
I do hope that you all know what a Human is, but in this case it
is a person that tests and solves puzzles for Aperture. You will be
put to work for literally 24/7.

Cores
Cores are small round robots that roam Aperture on rails attached
to the roof. All have different jobs and uses.

Bots
Bots are Human sized robots that are also used for testing. They
have the exact same use as Humans do.

Objects

[Pre-recorded message] We do have a dress code here in Aperture, follow
it wisely. Also girls, make sure you hair is tied back!

Portal Gun
The Portal Gun is a hand held device that shoots (hence the name)
Portals. You will use this to solve the tests.

Long Fall Boots
The Long Fall Boots, or just Boots were designed to prevent human Test Subjects from injuring themselves
when falling from great heights at any speed. So far they have worked quite well.

Companion Cubes
Companion Cubes are lovely cubes that you may carry around encase you feel lonely.
They also have a pink heart replacing the Aperture logo.

Cubes
Cubes are normal testing objects used in the Facility.

Discouragement Redirection Cube
The Discouragement Redirection Cube's main purpose is to redirect the Thermal Discouragement Beam to other
places or through portals if necessary. However, the cube has a second use
as a Weighted Storage Cube, as it can be used to activate the Heavy-Duty Super Button.

Frankenturret
Frankenturrets are bizarre Sentry Turret-Weighted Storage Cube
hybrids created by Wheatley in order to complete test chambers when he
had no test subjects, they now lay around the facility in random locations.

Heavy Duty Super Button
The Heavy Duty Super Button is a receptacle that can be triggered
by the weights of player characters, Weighted Storage Cubes, Edgeless
safety Cubes, and Frankenturrets.
