"Yeah, I bet it's when you turn 18 or 20. I bet by that time your old enough and have trained enough to be able to take care of yourself." Alana said, though she didn't know for sure if that was correct.

"Well, yeah. I mean, if your prepared all the time then I suppose it wouldn't be as dangerous." Alana said, this thought suddenly dawning on her. She never thought about it but now she didn't know what she would do when that time came. She pushed the thought away, though.

Willow thought about all of this. "I wonder what life is like for the normal people. The mortals. Never knowing about any of this. Never having any reason to be constantly scared for their lives or..." she drifted off for lack of a better term.
