"From what I've heard most of the demi-gods here didn't. At least I got to live with my step-mom. Guess I was lucky in that way," Willow replied.

"Yeah, I'd definitely consider you lucky. Having a mother, it must've been great..." her voice trailed off.

"Sometimes though I wished I hadn't," Willow said quietly. She looked down realizing that this topic was pretty sensitive for both of them, and maybe everyone at camp.

"I mean-..I suppose.." Alana stumbled over her words as she tried to explain. Nobody here at camp knew about her past, in fact, this girl probably knew more about her than anyone else.

Feeling slightly awkward suddenly Willow stayed silent allowing Alana to try to explain. She knew that there are tons of people who would have loved to have her guardian, she just couldn't exactly stay happy about it.

Alana fiddled with her fingers, her eyes looking at her shoes. "I'm sorry, I've never told anybody anything and here I am opening up to a girl I just met." She laughed awkwardly.

Willow smiled. "I know what that's like," she said thinking back to all those times when her and her step-mom had moved. It had never met anything in the past...but now made so much sense.

"I just realized I don't even know your name, my social skills.." she said with a small laugh. "I'm Alana."

"I'm Willow. I like your name," she said with a small smile. So far the camp was pretty nice.
