Maddie woke up with a weird feeling in her back. She tried to stand up, but failed and fell on her stomach. Moaning, she tried again and held on to a low tree branch that was next to her. Something felt...weird. She reached behind her and felt something soft.

"Wh-what the heck is this?!" She asked herself. Getting an idea in her head, she felt her wings move. "Whoa! Are these really wings?!" She tried to fly around and started giggling when she failed. Suddenly she heard voices in the distance.

as he moved his wings around, he heard a noise from behind. "huh?" he stood, this time he felt steadier, and began walking towards the sound.

Ivan decided to rest for a while, but his wings caused the bush to rustle. He froze, knowing that the other three would have heard it. Instinctively he curled up into a ball, using his wings to cover himself.
