ACACIA ADAMSON
the overseer Full Name: "Greetings; my name is Acacia Adamson."Gender: "I find this not very courteous. Anyway, I am a gentlewoman."District: "I hail from District Two."Age: "As of now, I am eighteen years of age."Personality: "I am polite and sophisticated, and have always been. I learned 'please' and 'thank you' before I could pronounce 'mother' and 'father.'" She is tactless when it comes to emotional reasoning, and apathetic towards most. She is said to have a cold heart, which is true, but not towards her allies. Through the ordeals of the Games, Acacia has proven herself to be highly loyal and selfless. She is like a mother bear towards her alliance. A lot of the time she was very serious and didn't like to joke around, but once in a while she was up for gossip. She presented herself as an intimidating but polite lady in training; she would smile courteously at even those she planned to attack in the bloodbath. She is a perfectionist who tends to see the flaw in the plan, and cares more about that little issue than about the plan's actual realistic success rate. She keeps these thoughts in her own mind, but her inner voice is often judgmental, prejudiced towards all non-Careers, and finicky. Sometimes, if she gets really, really close to someone, she drops her guard and let her true face show. Not many have seen the honest side of her besides those in District Two, and her Career allies. She doesn't trust most people enough to metaphorically let them in.
Appearance: Acacia is around the average height and build for an Adamson woman, which means she is certainly not average. She stands at 5'11" towering over many, including her entire alliance with the sole exception of Prince, who is the same height as she is. She is athletic and strongly-built, possessing no delicateness in her coarse and sharply defined features. She has slightly wavy, jet-black hair that is often fashioned into a ponytail, her eyes are deep brown, and her skin is a nice shade of golden tan. She isn't the prettiest, but in her district she was often considered to be handsome.
Strengths: "I have been trained to take down people twice my size... as well as children half my size. I am also a fast sprinter, and agile; my reflexes are quick after fourteen years of training." You can't really find anyone 'twice her size', don't get me wrong. She can technically take them down, even though she has never encountered someone who has a significant physical advantage over her. She doesn't like to brag about her advantages in size and strength, because they are too obvious, and speaking of them openly would be arrogant.
Weaknesses: "I get tired very easily, and my accuracy can falter. Also, I am horrible at making plans, due to my perfectionistic status; I'll just see all the problems in my idea and ditch it the second I notice one." Acacia tends to have anger management issues when her alliance is messed with, too. She's a tyrannical dictator when she's not keeping it under control. She also dislikes fighting with weapons other than a spear, but she can fight barehanded if she needs to.
Weapon Of Choice: "I much prefer a spear to anything else. It's a valuable, indispensable defensive weapon that could also be used for throwing in a situation that required me to do so, therefore I have focused a good portion of my Career training on using this." She can use other weapons in an extremely limited capacity, because she is so specialized.
Career Or Non-Career: "I am a Career. I have trained for this position and will not easily forfeit my place within the Career alliance, unless everyone else is a traitorous backstabbing imbecile and a weakling." They were not. Even when Genesis was about to betray them once, Acacia lectured her severely for almost getting herself killed, then revealed she was so furious because she cared. She never gave up on her alliance, and she was enraged when they died.
History: "I grew up training to become a proper Career. My loyalties had always lain with my District and the Capitol, so I never acted too rebelliously, excluding the typical teenage unruliness that I, like many others, had to go through. That was only a phase, however; and I rebelled against my parents, not against the Capitol. I love Panem, the Capitol, and the President, and I would never do such a thing. Anyway, I had trained from the age of four, which had been slightly late... most kids begin at birth. I was a decently quick learner, however, and caught up fast enough. Last year, when they were busy deciding who would be the female Career Tribute allowed to volunteer this year, they didn't choose me at first. They chose this other girl, who was less sophisticated than I, but much more vicious and relentless in combat. However, this year, she was injured and as the 'second choice,' I was told I 'must' take her place. I was glad to though." There's also a valid reason she loves the President on a personal level. President Solara Adamson is Acacia's aunt and older counterpart.
Acacia was born to Aspen and Ash Adamson. She was the first four children; the others, in order of age, are Alder and the twins, Apricot and Almond, in which Apricot is older. Acacia will lead the Careers, as is the custom for District Two; Adamsons and Bries founded the alliance and are the backbone of the team.
The entire Adamson family has always dominated the Academy rankings, in fact, it was an Adamson who started the Academy in the first place. However, the family's tributes constantly fall just short of winning. The Adamsons have never given up, and they continuously send children away to fight. The hope is not only for victory. It's because kids of the Adamson family are born to fight. They train so they can be the best fighters possible, and then they volunteer when they are at their strongest. Every year, only the valedictorians are allowed to volunteer.
The Adamsons are proud that they have gone into the Games so many times, because even if they don't win often, at least they were able to protect the younger kids of the District from being forced to participate. It is a position of honor and glory.
Crush: "Excuse me?" She tries to convince herself she feels for Sam like he's her little brother. Unfortunately, she's been lying to herself her whole life.
Interview Angle: "I acted quite articulate and sophisticated, yet with a ruthless edge to me, a side of my personality that ensured I would never be afraid to fight." She also hinted at some inhumane treatment of any opponents who dared mess with her district partner.
Other: "That is all, farewell." Acacia is a contralto, deep-voiced and reasonable-sounding. Her voice can seem a little cold and intimidating, but it's easy to tell how analytical and sharp she is.
She received a score of 10 in training. Acacia placed 3rd overall, killed at the hands of victor Khali McKellen. She was attempting to defend her district partner in vain.
VINCENT HILL
the little brother Full Name: "I'm Vincent Hill, nice to meet you!"Gender: "I'm a guy... seriously, you better say sorry for that, or I'll, er... I'll get back to you with a scary threat sometime in the future! I think I'm threatening to threaten to threaten you in the future. Threat-ception! Sorry, I'm weird... wait, I said sorry before you said sorry, and you were supposed to say it fir-" He was ordered to stop at this point.
District: "Three. Er, we're pretty technological, so don't mind me if I start spewing rubbish about machines and whatnot." The Hill family lives in the middle class.
Age: "I'm twelve. You probably think I'm ten, due to my size and my ridiculousness!"Personality: "Well, I'm hyper and I loooove to talk. Socializing is one of the best things that someone can do, in my opinion. It improves linguistic ability, comprehension, improvisational skills, as well as, of course, social capabilities. Also, I love to talk so much that I will blab on and on and on and on and on and on and- you get the point! I love talking! I like to think of myself as smart, but I have a really, really stupid side to me too. Anyway -- I'm friendly, and I don't bite, and I don't leave people alone, either. So basically, I can be a good friend, if you overlook my annoying personality, my young age, and the fact that I talk soooooo much you'll want to kill me just to shut me up. Anyway, don't do that. If I think you're going to kill me, I won't be in an alliance with you. If you can put up with me without stabbing me in my sleep, I'll be happy to be with you on the same team!" He jokes around about being all 'manly', though he knows he isn't. He respects women more than men because of his upbringing.
Appearance: Vincent is 4'11" and underweight. He has extremely curly black hair and bright green eyes, and he is quite weak-looking and frail. He hasn't hit his growth spurt yet.
Strengths: "I have a near-photographic memory, and I'm a decent survivalist. I can climb trees very well, and I know my plants. I'm not as weak as I look either!" Don't you believe him! He is not as weak as he looks, because he is
weaker than he looks. He's good at hiding, though, and he's an excellent technican and programmer. He can easily hack systems with moderate security.
Weaknesses: "I'm bad at running, slow and out-of-shape. I get out of breath in a minute, tops! I also trip all the time!" He is physically weak as well.
Weapon Of Choice: "A slingshot! Or traps."Career Or Non-Career: "Not a Career, though I respect them. They're kinda scary though."History: "In District Three, I always had enough to eat, but not too much. My sister Valerie would fight over food with me. She's bigger than me and it's not fair!" The Hill family is in the middle class, but boys work programming jobs indoors, while girls work in the factories. This made his older sister stronger, and she beats up Vincent if she needs to. Or if she just feels like it.
Crush: "Cooties! Save me!" No one in the living world, but after he died, Erin Brie got mad at him for calling her Eric. They have long since gotten over that bad first impression...
Interview Angle: "I talked. A lot. I almost never shut up, and I engaged in so much conversation that I'm pretty sure the audience got bored of me. Mostly it was talk about the Games, or about life back home, or about all the technology and gadgets I would buy if I won and therefore got a whole bunch of money." He ran out of time midway through a sentence.
Other: "I think I'll make it to the final eight, if I'm lucky! Bye!" Vincent is a soprano. He has a shrill and slightly annoying voice, although he's a surprisingly good singer.
He received a score of 5 in training. He actually got 10th place, but he still wants to brag. Kind of. Vincent was killed by Sam Brie, the Career Prodigy, during a blizzard.
EDITH THOMPSON
the weak link Full Name: "Um... I'm Edith Thompson."Gender: "I'm a girl..."District: "Six..."Age: "I'm fifteen... older than some, younger than others..."Personality: "I'm terrified of going into the Games, and I'm not at all certain that I'll last even a day against all the scary Careers prowling around out there. I'm nice, and I can be sweet, but I also get scared very easily... also, I'm quiet and I don't like causing trouble or mischief. I hate fighting and would never hurt anyone." Basically, she is incompetent and wimpy. She is a weak link in any alliance. Pretty much she's an Idiot Alliance member who is too non-confrontational and polite to actually be in the Idiot Alliance, but otherwise she would be qualified.
Appearance: This 5'3" kid definitely isn't an Adamson, all right. Edith is skinny and has a weak build. She is dirty blonde with pale, greyish-blue eyes, and her face is heavily freckled. She isn't really attractive, and has an annoyingly fragile look. To District Two boys, she's hideous; to any other boys, she isn't anything special either.
Strengths: "I don't get tired easily and I'm fast. Also, I know what plants are used for what. That's pretty much it." She can also tie knots, and is a good cook. Basically, her most specialized skills will have little use in the actual Games.
Weaknesses: "Oh, I have a whole bunch of those... I'm weak, bad at fighting, and I get scared very easily. You know how I said I was bad at fighting? Well, I'm not just bad at fighting, I also refuse to fight, so I never got a chance to practice, making me even more bad. I'm also not very intelligent when it comes to thinking on the spot." She is practically Idiot Alliance with this lack of fighting skill. She's very annoying in a team, since she can't do much.
Weapon Of Choice: "Weapons? No thank you! Although, if I had to, I could resort to using a slingshot... if absolutely necessary." Too bad for this kid, she died in the bloodbath so it was never necessary.
Career Or Non-Career: "Non-Career. I could never imagine being one of those... savages!" Oh, yeah, and she's horribly racist towards Careers.
History: "Nothing special, in District Six we're specialists in transportation so my parents drove around a lot, moving stuff and such. They weren't home much. I had to take care of my younger brothers, who will be alone now... I don't think I'll go back home." She didn't go back home. Nobody would want her to either, besides her brothers. She never really did anything for anyone except her own family, and even then, she wasn't the best babysitter and just stared at her siblings boredly.
Crush: "N-n-no!" She doesn't like boys after a bad experience with her district partner. After she died, she ended up having a thing for her fellow lunch lady Janet.
Interview Angle: "Well, I was really scared, so I spoke really fast and almost had several panic attacks up there. I didn't actually have an angle..." Nobody really liked her either, except for that one sexist guy who liked damsels in distress, but he doesn't count.
Other: "I think I'll probably die in the bloodbath..." Edith has a quiet mezzo-soprano voice, often barely audible. It's quite annoying to try to talk to her.
She scored 3 in training. She was right about dying in the bloodbath, though, placing 19th. Her own district partner snapped her neck because she was a weak link.
IDIOT ALLIANCE
the narcissist, the idiot, the crybaby, and the bigot Full Name: Leroy Smith
Gender: Male
District: Nine
Age: Thirteen
Personality: Leroy is selfish and conceited, and never acts humble. He is so obsessed with himself that 'narcissist' only begins to describe this young man. He is so arrogant, he thinks he is the most modest person ever, which is so stupid it's sad.
Appearance: Leroy is moderately tall, standing at 5'9", not overly so though. He has a naturally scrawny build, and is very pale, but freckles dot his face heavily. His hair is dirty blonde, and he has ashy grey eyes that are always crinkled at the corners from his arrogant smile.
Strengths: He's very confident...
Weaknesses: He cannot fight or run, and he is an idiot.
Weapon Of Choice: A sword, which he can barely pick up.
History: He volunteered. "I'm going to show those weak Careers what I'm made of and win!" He had announced proudly, standing up tall on the reaping stage. "Nobody can take me down!" He actually believed every word he said, too.
Crush: His own reflection.
Interview Angle: He boasted about himself the whole time, detailing all his achievements, which really isn't much... but he made it sound extreme.
Other: Leroy is a loud and obnoxious soprano, always sounding like he's screaming. He scored 1 and placed 22nd in the bloodbath. Prince bashed his empty skull in.
Full Name: Drew Jones
Gender: Male
District: Ten
Age: Sixteen
Personality: Drew is a man of few words, but only because he is stupid, and has an extremely limited vocabulary. He is so stupid, he actually knows he's stupid, but can't do anything to change it because he is too stupid. It's a sad cycle.
Appearance: He is somewhat tall at 5'10", with long, shaggy red hair. His eyes are dull green, and an aura of stupidity emanates from them somehow.
Strengths: If ignorance is bliss, Drew is the happiest man in Panem.
Weaknesses: Everything, basically.
Weapon Of Choice: A sword, which he often drops on his foot.
History: He was reaped, and was so stupid, he didn't know they were calling his name. They had to lead him on stage like he was a stubborn mule.
Crush: He doesn't know what a crush is.
Interview Angle: He spent three minutes pondering over the first question, which was Caesar trying to confirm that his name was Drew Jones. The time ran out before he could answer that yes, he was Drew Jones, and he figured it out two hours later.
Other: Drew has a deep bass voice that actually makes him sound more dull. He scored 3 and placed 21st. Genesis Cry, a Career, stabbed him to death in the bloodbath.
Full Name: Keith Marshall
Gender: Male
District: Eleven
Age: Seventeen
Personality: Keith doesn't like being around people and he's actually a big coward. He whines a lot and acts like he's only seven, not at all seventeen. He clings to people that do come around, which is why he isn't popular, since he's so irritating and whiny.
Appearance: Technically, Keith is average height for his age. This means he's 5'10", tall in comparison to many others, because he's seventeen. His hair is brown, and cut badly, because he's scared of the barber and gave himself a horrible haircut.
Strengths: He is good at running away, when he doesn't fall.
Weaknesses: Basically, everything. Especially fighting.
Weapon Of Choice: A sword, which he also has a phobia of.
History: When he was reaped, he whined and cried on stage for someone to volunteer for him. But it's District Eleven, so nobody did.
Crush: None.
Interview Angle: All he did was cry. Caesar asked him when his birthday was, and he just started wailing, knowing he would never reach it.
Other: Keith is a tenor, but definitely not a good one, and he sounds nasal all the time. He scored 2, and placed 23rd, killed by Sam Brie's sword in the bloodbath.
Full Name: James Taylor
Gender: Male
District: Twelve
Age: Sixteen
Personality: James is rude and impolite. He has a habit of being very uncourteous around Careers, and often makes fun of Arya, Acacia, and Genesis, who are his targets. He is very prejudiced towards girls, which ended in him being killed by a girl in the bloodbath. He is the most disgusting, insolent, and stupid of the four Idiot Alliance members, which is a lot to say.
Appearance: James is the least attractive of the idiots. He is extremely short at 5'1" and obese, but his weight problem is self-made, because he purposely ate ridiculous amounts of food in an attempt to look strong. Well, it didn't work. His hair is greasy and red, he has beady little hazel eyes, and his face shape uncannily resembles that of a horse with extreme amounts of acne.
Strengths: He has the strength to fight any animal smaller than a butterfly. In the most lucky of situations, he might even have a chance of winning.
Weaknesses: He sucks at practically everything.
Weapon Of Choice: A sword. He thinks he looks so manly with it. (James obviously does not know the District Two definition for manly, nor does he know his place.)
History: He volunteered, and shouted that he would at least get twelfth place, because twelve tributes were girls. Everyone was furious at him, but nobody challenged his volunteer status, because they were extremely content to watch him die.
Crush: The cicada that Vervain Fleming ate.
Interview Angle: He screamed about how he would kill all the girls, especially Acacia Adamson, but he didn't know why everyone was laughing.
Other: James is a countertenor who thinks he's so special, believing he sounds more mature than any woman, which is a stupid assumption. He scored 2 and placed 24th, last place because of his ridiculous incompetence. He ended up irritating Acacia Adamson, who speared him in the bloodbath's beginning.
