"Sammi. whats going on?" She asked quietly hoping she'd get an answer from her. Chase just stood there a bit unsure of what was going on. "Andy..maybe you shouldn't.." He whispered looking at how mad she was.

"You want to know what's going on? I got shot by my brother my boyfriend wants to press charges and I don't want to. I'm done pleasing people and I am done trying to make him happy. I'll keep my promise but that doesn't mean that I have to be happy about it." Sammi told her. She shook her head and looked over at Chase. She realized that she had never really talked to him that much.

I heard footsteps behind me and looked to see Jazz. I had one of Chase's shirts on now and was a bit warmer but wearing short sleeves in the beginning of winter wasnt the smartest. "Hey. How is she?" I asked quietly and she stopped next to me. "She's fine..mad but fine" She said with a shrug. "Mad? about what now?" I asked coldly. Jazz's head snapped over and she looked at me shocked by my tone of voice. "you wanting to press charges on her brother. She really doesnt want to Jake. Cant you just let it go?" She asked. She was honestly worried on how all this tension may split us up. I spun around and faced her. "Jazz. She was almost killed because of this psychopath!" I hissed at her. "He almost killed you too! You think im gonna let that slide?!"

"Andy why dont you go get something to eat. I'll stay here" Chase said and looked at Sammi. After she left he got a bit closer. "So you're pissed at Jake huh?" He asked. "I dont blame you"

"He thinks that pressing charges would be best and I don't think so. I did what I had to do to save Jazz and it was my choice." Sammi said quietly. She looked up at Chase. "He should hate me."

"He probably does at the moment. Listen, I'll make sure he doesnt press charges. How does that sound? That way you wont have that to worry about" He said sitting in the chair next to her. "I know its hard. Jake hates him with a burning passion, I know it and he knows it. But what i think is the problem is with what happened to his mom. He feels that since the one guy that killed her never got caught, he should nab them then and there so something like that never happens."

"Thank you. This is going to make me sound like a jerk but he needs to get over it. It happened in the past and he needs to move on. He needs to live now." Sammi said. She sighed and ran her hands through her hair again.

"Yeah. But those two were attached to her. Jake still feels like it's his fault that she was killed because he was in the gang, making enemies, only got her killed." He sighed and looked at the floor. "There's no telling what he's gonna do now"

"Well I'm done. The relationship between me and him is over. I'll stay but I can't deal with him." Sammi said. She glanced at Chase and sighed.

"Jacob--" I cut her off before she could finish. "Its over. I'm done with her being blind to all this. Now she's part of the gang and will be treated like one. She has to fend for herself now like you did" I said and with that I walked to my truck knowing she'd get a ride from Andy.

"Maybe that may be better but I don't think that's such a good idea" chase said softly. "He'll treat you like us...you lose that protection"

"I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself." Sammi said. She bit her lip and looked over at him again. "Can you find out when I'm getting out of here?"
