"You are," I said quietly. "Just please take this time off from us to be safer. Can you do that?" I Asked gently

"Jake. I don't know if I can." Sammi admitted. She didn't know why he thought she would get hurt. "Please, Jake."

"Sammi, I dont want to hurt you believe me i dont" I said with a pleading tone, "I love you too much to let you get hurt because of someone else in my life" I said softly

"I don't think that he will hurt me. Even if I take a break from us I am still going to be around. There is as good of a chance I will get hurt either way. I am not leaving your side even if we are taking a break. So don't think that taking a break will keep me safe." Sammi said. She was determined to get it across to him that she cared to much about him to see him get hurt without her doing something.

"O-Okay fine. But if i do tell you to stay out of it will you?" I Asked softly looking at her in the eyes

"Of course I will Jake. I will do whatever you want me to do when it comes to your father." Sammi said. She took a deep breath and looked up at him.

"Thank you sammi" I said softly giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Please dont hate me for breaking up with you like that"

"I don't hate you for anything that has happened." Sammi promised.

I sighed softly and let my head fall, "Would you feel better in here tonight?" I asked her softly

Sammi nodded. She knew he must be exhausted. She sighed and looked over at his bed.
