After landing in Lilycove, Diane had put Hydreigon back in her Pokeball. She didn't like keeping her Pokemon cooped up, but the hydra-like dragon could be scary to some people and she didn't often think through her actions before acting. Diane really didn't want a repeat of the Crystal Incident... She sighed when she recalled that. Flygon, attentive as he was, put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Thanks, Flygon," she said happily.

Eventually, she got the message from Seth and glanced it over. "I need to find a partner, eh...? Well, time to socialize," she said to Flygon as the two headed off where most of the other Leaders were gathered. Hopefully they could find someone to team up with.

Similarly, Oscar soon received the message from the Poison Leader. Teaming up sounded logical, though he didn't know many of the other Leaders personally. He moseyed on over toward someone, hoping that they were still in need of a partner. Any other Leaders who had watched him might note that he was one of the few -- if not the only -- Leader who hadn't released any of his Pokemon yet. As for why that was so...well...one would have to wonder.

"I'm not sure about entering a contest, but I'd like to at least check out the hall." Indium answered, catching a glimpse of a Galvantula riding a Feraligatr around a pool and chuckling quietly at the sight.

Magnesium chittered even louder in her excitement, peering down from Tempest's back into the water.

"We wait until know where we going, yes? We go see Seth now." Noah was a little surprised that, despite knowing the stories told about him, his fellow Unova gym leader still wanted to team up with him. Still, he wasn't about to complain, no he wasn't.

"Come on, what have you go to lose? Besides, it's not like you'll be competing against me. The beginning level is just for newcomers like you." Ren pleaded, not about to give up without a fight. He spotted Tempest and Magnesium and snickered. "Looks like they're friends now."

Even after reading Seth's message, Tia stood in the background of Ren's gym. She found it comforting to watch the Pokemon and gym leaders mingle, though it was also a little odd considering why they were here. Even after looking around, she wasn't sure who would be best to team up with. Heck, she didn't even know who had a partner so far. By observing, she could guess Ren and the electric trainer would group up, they'd seemed to have become quick friends, but past them Tia had no idea about anyone.

"Even those newcomers have some idea of what they're doing, Ren." Indium snorted in response. "I'm not sure I've even watched a contest since I was little." Which was actually pretty sad, considering contests were so popular in Hoenn. He nodded though, when the water trainer commented on the two Pokemon. "I've honestly never seen Mag so happy to be around water."

"OK. To the hotel!" She laughed at herself then started walking. Charry and Perry were flying above her happily. "Charry! Perry! Can you Two wait over at the hotel! " she called. They nodded and flew away.

"You've never seen a contest?" Ren murmured, sounding slightly horrified. "Hoenn is where contest were first born, and you've never gone to see one?" He shook his head, sighing. "Come on, let's go see one now. Tempest and Mag will be fine, they look pretty happy right now."

To Aden, it seemed like it would be nice to walk around for a little bit, explore this new region. He walked around Lilycove, looking for something to do. Soon enough, he found a museum. He walked into it, expecting to see interesting things inside.

"In my defense, there isn't a contest hall in Fortree or Mossdeep." He sighed. Ren was right, Tempest and Mag would be fine, honestly. "Alright, let's go."
