"come on let's go back out" I said with a smile and got to my feet. "I could use another run around"

Carmen hopped up and followed him. "Hey, Jake. You gonna let go of my hand anytime soon, or are you gonna wait until I gnaw it off?" She said, and arched one eyebrow.

I pulled her on to the jet ski and let go. "oh stop" I smiled and started it up pulling out intonthe water

Carmen wrapped her arms securely around Jacob's waist and smiled, resting her head against his shoulder.

But as we got out there I heard another set of engines behind us. I looked behind my shoulder and saw three guys I knew chasing us with Derrell in a speed boat. "[censored]" I hissed and kicked it into high gear

Carme looked back at the boat. "Who the heck are they?" She said and looked back up at Jacob, tightening her grip around him.

"Derrell hang on!" I said and took a sharp turn changing direction and messed them up in their cluster

Carmen closed her eyes and held on tightly to Jacob. "Why are they chasing us?!" She yelled above the roar of the engine.
