She was surprised at his gentleness and gave a small smile. Even though the moment was tense. "I'm sorry... For whatever I did.." she said, taking a small step closer to him.

He scowled. "You know I'm not mad at anyone, not you, not the others."

Lydia

"Then... Why are you always so..grumpy?" She asked, looking over him again. He seemed so stiff right now.

Angel

He grit his teeth. "I'm mad at myself." He admitted finally.

Lydia

Taking another step, her smile widened. "Why's that?" She asked softly.

Angel

He looked down and stepped away uncertainly. "Because this always happens, you end up getting attached but eventually I'll break you." He shuddered involuntarily.

Lydia

"What always happens? What do you mean 'I'll brake you?'" she asked, her voice cold.

He sighed, this always happened. "I don't know how I always do it, but everyone else ends up hating me, maybe I hurt them without realizing it."

"You don't hurt people. You just don't know how to be friends" she said kindly. Her cold gaze falling away. She thought she understood.
