I studied her face and nodded faintly, frowning. "You're nightmares are getting worse aren't they?" I ask and close my eyes sighing.

I put my sword away and walked to the creek to wash my arm. I accidentally cut myself. I jumped into the creek and stayed under, I didn't want to come up and I knew I would only die if I wanted it myself.

I hummed to myself as I sat down on the rocky shore of the river. I blew a stray strand of vibrant red hair out of my face and then muttered as I reached up and brushed it out of the way. I hummed a few simple notes and pat my thighs as I sat at the shore. I leaned forward and looked at my reflection in the surface. I smiled, but it only faded. "Fake." I whispered to myself. I brought my hand out from my pocket and balanced my hand on the surface of the water and then plunged it under the water, wishing it would take me away. Wash my problems away. Bring me back to my dad. Separate my stepmother away from him and let me have his undivided attention. I cursed and pulled my hand back, away from the water. I slapped at hand to my forehead, cursing my self again for thinking of that. "Why can't I drop this?" I asked myself, my voice bitter.

I heard something and I dove under water again. I swam under the girl and looked up, hm, probably a daughter of Aphrodite. I layed on the bottom of the lake. I knew she wasn't able to see me until she would touch the water.

"Maybe my sister can help us. She's obsessed with colored powders and stuff like that" I said, thinking

I plunged my hand under water and looked down into the clear yet murky water. I scrunched my eyebrows together, thinking I saw someone at the bottom of the creek. I studied him for a minute and yelped, jerking my hand out of the water and stumbling backwards. I breathed in and out deeply, my back pressed to a tree. "What the heck?" I whispered to myself.
