Lyla looked up, then stood following Vince outside. She looked around uncertainly, she didn't really want to be left in here without anyone to talk to.


Max raised an back at Jason, while he wasn't going to start a fight he wasn't about to back down from one. He then turned to watch Lyla walk out, wondering what she was up to.

"Here, you in the back next to the grumpy redhead." Jason called, pointing at Max. "What's your name? You look like somebody who could hold his end of a fight. What element are you?"

"I'm Max, and I control the Ice element." Max answered simply, acting bored as he leaned back on the desk, tilting his head, raising an eyebrow at the grumpy redhead part, wondering how Elisha would handle that comment.

Jason nodded, and looked at the girl. Elissa glared at him, and her desk sprouted twigs and leaves. Her teeth gritted, she said "My name is Elissa Jesilayde Chandler, and you'll be pleased to address me as such."

Max chuckled at Elisha's display of anger, but also had to admit to himself that that was a bit frightening, he wondered if he would be able to one day control ice as thoroughly.

"Alright, Miss Chandler." said Jason. "I can see that you don't like me- I have an idea. After class, how about we test how much you know with a Powers Duel? No physical contact, just powers. Me versus you, with the whole camp observing." He caused a vine to grow out of the floor and tap her lightly on one cheek. "I challenge you, Elissa." Elissa frowned at him, but then smiled evilly, her pointed canines showing. A thicker vine grew out of the floor next to Jason and belted him across the jaw. He stepped back a pace and fingered his chin, checking for broken bones. "I accept." Jason looked at her, contemplating, then grinned.

Max looked between the two, a bit worried about the duel set to happen after class. He was tempted to ask Elisha whether or not she really wanted to take on an Aide that had full control of his power, while he didn't doubt Elisha could handle herself, this was as good as dueling a teacher. He bit the inside of his lip.

Elissa leaned back and crossed her arms, smiling slightly to herself. She knew she didn't have a chance- she was dueling a boy older and far more experienced than her- but a duel would be a good way to learn his strong and weak points. Then she could train in those ares where he was weak, and beat him the next time they dueled.

Vince watched the argument between the aid and the student. It was rather interesting. He hoped that the air aide wouldn't be quiet as... eccentric as Jason. But then again, they all were eccentric. They'd have to be for this job.

Kesia didn't want to have a power duel like that. But then again, she didn't mind throwing rocks at other people. That was probably why she considered herself antisocial.
