Avengers ~ Loki Returns

River had peered over to the clock on the wall, and realized that it was past nine. She had checked around the house, and made sure that both of her parents were asleep, or busy elsewhere, so that she would be able to get out of the house unnoticed. After she knew that the coast was clear, she stepped outside once again. Climbing over the balcony's guard rail, she then began to scale downwards, until she had reached the ground. Jumping onto her feet from the last two feet, she glanced back over towards the front of the house, and waited for a few seconds to see if there was any sign of activity from inside. Sighing with relief, River continued to make her way along the edge of the Stark tower's perimeter.

Devon's smirk turned into a small grin as he leaned back slightly, his gaze turning upwards, towards the quickly descending sun. "Nice to meet you, Mikey. It's getting late; I'll see you." With a small wave, Devon suddenly disappeared into his own shadow, reappearing on a rooftop not too far away. He crouched close to the floor and touched the air.

"Time for some crime-busting."

In a flash of darkness, his form was suddenly taken over by shadows, becoming a figure made completely of darkness - although he maintained his original height and form. "Let's get to it." In particles of inky blackness, Shadow disappeared from where he was crouching.

Mikey watched as the other guy disappeared, he glanced around for a couple seconds but didn't see the guy anymore. Oh well. He had to admit that the other guys powers were amazingly cool. He walked down the street again, his blue eyes scanning over the area around him. Besides the honking of horns from cars everything seemed quite peaceful. Maybe there would be one night where there wasn't a bad guy causing chaos?

James watched Loki come back with the girl and tie her to a chair, "I don't think that's how you get people to like you..." he said, glancing at Loki then to the girl.
