Raquel looked up at him, into his deep green emerald pools of eyes, and felt her heart race again. She swallowed, acutely aware of her hand in his, and nodded slightly, glancing down at the ground before looking back up at him. "Anytime," she murmured, and though the words were nonchalant, her face conveyed how serious she was about that word. She'd be ready to comfort him any time he needed, anytime at all.
Damon looked over his shoulder at Alexis, then pursed his lips, straightening with various snackable foods in his arms. He nudged the refridgerator shut with his knee and set the food on the counter, reaching for some ziploc bags before adressing Alexis's question. "You know, I don't think I will," he said softly, zipping closed the first bag. "Too many bad memories here, too many things gone wrong for me. Starting over would be the best option, I think."
