Raquel watched him, pain tearing at her own heart at the sight of his tears, and just wanting to take it away from him. With her own tears still welling up in her eyes, she leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly and comfortingly. She could think of no words to say, and knew that any word spoken would be inadequate anyways. She just saw with him on the cool earth and hugged him, hoping that in some way, it would help.
Damon grinned at her laugh, then smirked, shrugging. "I'm not just packing myself...I'm leavin' this place for good," he said, jerking a thumb to the side, gesturing the rest of the house. "Too empty without other people around." He shrugged again, then chuckled, pushing away from the counter and heading down the hallway to his room. "You better be able to wait that long, 'cause we only have the Mustang, and you are not taking my baby out by yourself."
