Katelyn, known by Katie to most people, sighed as she looked around. As of right now, she was alone at the training grounds, and had planned on just screwing around to practice using her Fire Release and most likely Byakugan. Although, she didn't really need to practice Byakugan - by now, she pretty much had it mastered. But it didn't hurt to practice, right? It was kind of nice that she was alone, but at the same time... she kind of wanted for someone to come along. Not until she was done practicing her Byakugan, though. Or at least not a stranger - one of her teammates, sure, but someone other than them? No. Most people would have no clue which clan she was from, thanks to the fact that she was strange and didn't have the signature white eyes of the Hyūga clan, so therefore the average stranger wouldn't know that she possessed the abilities of Byakugan.
Shrugging, the brunette put her hands together in front of her. It wouldn't hurt to be kind of loud since she was currently alone. "Byakugan!" she exclaimed, her pupils becoming very distinct and the veins near her temples bulging out slightly. She had recently been trying to extend her field of vision while using it, and luckily she was becoming better and better with it - better than her sister Hinata, to be exact. When she was satisfied with how far she was able to see in one direction right now, she released the Byakugan, her veins and eyes returning to normal. "Well, it shouldn't take too much longer to totally master it..." Katie murmured, grinning in triumph. Cracking her knuckles, the brunette looked around a bit, wondering if one of her teammates would come along soon.

Katie was in the middle of thinking about things like the Chūnin Exams or what she was going to do later when Kohaku basically snuck up behind her while her guard was down. As she had been deep in thought, his voice jerked her out of her thoughts with a quiet shriek. Quickly turning around, the brunette stared at the other genin like she was trying to recover from a heart attack. "What have I told you about sneaking up on me?!" she exclaimed, staring at him with her sapphire blue eyes. Which, being a Hyūga, was beyond odd that her eyes looked normal. Letting out a sigh as she finally managed to calm herself down, the shorter brunette looked up at him. "Good morning. And I'm not THAT little, I'm five foot six!" she protested, nudging him.
Kohaku, was of course, her best friend if it wasn't already obvious. The two of them were on the same team, after all, and it allowed her to become closer to him after time. Now, the two of them were practically inseparable. Or at least, that's how it seemed to her. It also seemed like the usually quiet male did indeed like her, due to the fact that around her, he wasn't quiet. "So, what are you doing today? Anything?"
