"How about you go somewhere else if you want peace and quiet." Ericka said, surprisingly bitterly. Her eyes enflamed tawny irises. She glared. The harsh mood was new for her. Her temperamental state of mind flamed outrageously. Why was she this angered? It didn't make much sense. But she was.

"I've only ever ridden a pegasus once. They don't like me very much, probably because they're good at sensing evil things," Elliot admitted. "And I honestly prefer keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground where they belong."
`Twas brillig,
and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Icarus
Icarus laughed. "Phoenix didn't seem to mind you," he pointed out. That was because the horse reflected off of Icarus's emotions, and he hadn't felt threatened by Elliot. "Then again, he loves pretty much anyone." He held a wild grin at the next thing she said. "Flying's my favorite thing," he told her. "Well, besides playing music."

"So you're a musician?" Elliot asked, giving a soft laugh. "Bet the ladies love that. What sort of music do you play? Please, don't tell me it's a harp or something. I met an Apollo kid once who told me his prized possession was his harp."

Icarus
Icarus was surprised at the sudden outburst of talking from Elliot, but he was actually pretty cool with it. She was a nice person when she wanted. "Yeah, I'm a musician," he answered with a chuckle. "And don't hate on harps, I can play those pretty darn good. My favorite instrument is actually acoustic guitar. My mom gave me one when I was five, and I've been doing it ever since."

"It's easier for me to think here. The water provides more inspiration for art than a crowded camp, " he said, looking back out across the sea. "Why are you here? Sounds like you got something on your mind." Alex mentally kicked himself. It wasn't any of his business. Besides, he was trying to avoid socializing, and yet here he was trying to talk to someone. Picking himself up off the ground, he patted the seat of hus jeans, brushing off the sand before walking over to the girl. Time to bite the bullet, considering it was too late to turn back. "Would it be rude to ask what exactly's on your mind?"

Elliot nodded, though it was unclear whether she was impressed or not. "Unsurprisingly, I don't play any musical instruments- not even a creepy organ." The girl almost jumped out of her skin when Azazel appeared back beside her, growling slghtly under her breath when she realised it was just her dumb hellhound.

Icarus
"Really?" asked Icarus with a lopsided, teasing grin. "I would have expected you to at least be able to ring Hell's bells." He hoped she would take it as just a joke instead of sending him into the fields of asphodel or something. It took him literally all of his strength to not laugh at Elliot as she jumped. Instead, he gave her a sweetly innocent smile and looked away from her, avoiding eye contact. "What d'you think of making a trip down to the beach?" he asked.

Elliot simply rolled her eyes at the joke, pleasantly surprised that he wasn't aiming to insult her with it. Then she nodded in answer to his question. "Alright. Why not?" Her eyes flickered to Azazel again as she remembered his obsession with water. "Go back to the cabin, Zaze." The hellhound tilted his head at her before bounding away in the opposite direction to where the cabins were. Elliot wasn't all too bothered about it, though.
