Devon allowed a small smirk to form on his face. "It's arguable. I enjoy being alone at times," he turned away from the lake, his dark gray irises locking onto Ericka's form. "You know, enjoy the scenery." Devon took on a more relaxed position, sitting up and crossing his legs Indian-style.

"How about you?"

Ericka shrugged, "Eh. It's alright. And being alone isn't anything new, so that's cool too." She went ahead, and sat her self down on the grass near him. Staring out ahead of her, eyes traveling over the lake with some wonder. "The name's Ericka." Her introduction was short and sweet, how she liked the keep them all. Talking to someone, in attempt to make a friend wasn't as hard as Eric had thought it'd be.

"Devon," the teenager responded, his eyes drifting back towards the lake. This was the....first? Second? Person he's met inside the camp, and he had been there for at least a day. His eyes drifted to the right, towards Ericka. "Your Godly Parent isn't as obvious to distinguish." he noted, tapping his lip with a pale finger.

"...Hm...Hecate?" Devon guessed, raising a sharp eyebrow.

Ericka almost snorted at Devon's guess. "Hecate? Hah, no." She chuckled rather quietly, lifting a knee and resting it under her right arm. She shook her head and fingered the ends of her hair. The girl could easily have guessed his godly parent. Hades. By the use of controlling shadows within his own power. Interesting actually. How hard could it really be to guess her parent?

A shadowy arm and hand slowly rose from the ground, seemingly sub-consciously, and periodically began tapping Devon's chin as the boy thought quietly. Hecate was his original guess, because the girl had that sort of...misty vibe to her. But...there was something else. A sort of crackling power.

His eyes opened, and Devon smirked, the shadowy hand disappearing in wisps of inky darkness. "Zeus, huh? One of The Big Three..." he nodded, leaning back and propping himself up on his hands. "You don't have that whole loud, arrogant thing most of Zeus's children have, though..." It was a speculation he had quickly made up while wandering around the camp like a blind turkey. Most of Zeus's children were rather...obnoxious - at least, the male portion he'd witnessed.

"I knew you were smart." Ericka smiled. But it disappeared as soon as it came. Bringing her shoulders up into another shrug, she said slowly, "Guess I'm different. Arrogance and noisiness doesn't seem to suit my nature too well." Her eyes flashed to spot where the shadowy hand was. Interested. It was a neat power. All she could do was anything that involved the sky. Nothing.. Fascinating.

Devon inclined his head at that. It definitely didn't seem to suit her nature at all. "It seems that way," he responded, adjusting the sheathe of his stygian sword, which was starting to dig into his back.

"Have you experimented with your gifts much?" Devon asked, raising a hand and clenching it. Small, yet extremely sharp shards of obsidian rose from the grass around him, and he gathered the shards in his hand.

Ericka watched, silent for a moment, then she replied, "Not really. Their not to exciting anyways." The daughter of Zeus felt the urge to reach out and touch the dark pieces. But she didnt. Eric shifted herself more towards Devon, eyes strained on his effect when he had used another power of his. Why couldn't she have received better powers than creating electricity and controlling air. Of course that's no all she could do. Just some.

Devon scoffed lightly, lining the shards of obsidian together and running a finger over them. They melded together perfectly, creating the gleaming, curved blade of a dagger, or a knife. He rested the blade on the ground beside him.

"I don't know about you, but controlling electricity, thunder, and air, to me, has very diverse capabilities." he said, touching the soil. A blunt, curved hilt rose from the ground shortly after, with a gleaming skull as the guard, and Devon melded the obsidian to the blade, creating an extremely lethal dagger. He often did this for practice - he had so many custom-made weapons back at his flat in New York City.

"Can you create a ball of electricity? Like, from that game...Infamous." he asked, tying his newly made dagger to the side of his pants. Devon seemed legitely interested in the powers of Zeus, and, like any other intelligent human being, he wanted to know more. He could only dream about the things the son/daughter of Zeus could do if they played Infamous once.

"You mean like this?" Ericka held out her hand, palm up. And as she concentrated, it formed, slowly, crackling loudly as it grew. Flashes of light lit up the spherical shape of lightning. A dull headache pounded at her head. She needed more practice. At times, she'd recall how she would receive migraines from the constantly attempts of creating an electric ball. Ericka stared, as it almost reached the size of a softball, before she closed her hand and grinned barely as the volts of energy slipping into her and up her arms. Illuminating it from the inside out. A clear sight of her veins pulsing beneath her skin had been visible for barely even seconds.
