Face still shoved in the bed, she set the paper in front of her head. She slowly rolled off of her bed and onto the floor.

I jump when I hear a large sound. I look threw the crack under the door to see her on the bed. I knock on the door a few minutes later with something behind my back. I wait and smile slightly.

Kate sighs and turns her head to the door, "Yeah?" She crawls over to the door and reaches up to the doorknob.

I wait for the door to be opened and smile a bit more. "I have a cheer you up gift." I said and revealed the cake.

Kate opened the door and saw the cake. Her eyes widened and she stood up, looking over the sugary stuff. She slowly reaches to it, her mouth watering.

I smile and take a step back. "First tell me what's wrong." I moved the cake behind me again.

Kate frowns and she lowers her hands, "It's just i couldn't get a job today. That's it. Now gimme dat cake!" She drops on her knees and looks up at her.
