Selene rolled her eyes when the waiter returned, her growl dying down into silence. She turned her head and looked over at Ford, her tail wagging when he said steak. Selene looked at the glass of water before her and then glared at the waiter with the side of her eye. "I'll have a cheese burger." she said, trying to remember what a burger tasted like. It had been years since Selene actually had human food, and the thought of a cheese burger had gotten her very excited.

[Smexy Beast]

The waiter turned the second Selene had ordered, without leaving room to add something else onto the order; though it seemed like the food they had ordered would be enough to satiate their hunger. The waiter returned with food in about the same period of time it took to get the water, which led to further questions about the quality of food they served at the diner. However, the smell of the food was more than enough to keep Ford quiet.

Selene looked down at her food, studying it closely to see if anything was wrong with the burger. She shrugged and then carefully picked it up, ketchup spilling out over the edges of the burger. Selene frowned, feeling the warm ketchup drip down onto her finger, and then took a small bite out of the cheese burger. Her eyes widened and then a smile crept across her face. Selene chewed on the piece of burger for a moment before swallowing it, licking her lips free of ketchup. She smiled and then looked over at Ford, her expression showing that she enjoyed the meaty cheese burger.

Ford Chuckled a little bit seeing the way Selene had began eating the cheeseburger, and began taking a few bites out of his steak as well. It definitely wasn't the best steak he'd ever had, but he wasn't in a position to complain. He continued eating the steak, and eventually heightened the pace of his consumption.

Selene took a large bite out of her food, which made even more ketchup spill out over the sides of her burger. After a few more bites, Selene had mostly eaten the entire cheese burger, only a palm sized amount remained. Selene set the burger down on her plate and then wiped her hands on a napkin, smearing the ketchup onto the thick paper of the napkin. When her hands were clean, she reached out for her drink and carefully lifted it to her lips. Selene took a long sip of the cold water and then gently set it back down on the table. She smiled, the flavorful taste of her cheese burger still lingering on her tongue.

Ford was a bit surprised at Selene's rate of consumption. He had known she was hungry, but the speed at which she ate the burger was unrealistic. He began to increase his pace, since he didn't want to make Selene wait on him, completely ignoring the water he had ordered previously. After a few moments of eating, he began to choke on some of his food, but a quick pat on the chest was enough to send the food dropping back into his stomach.

Selene frowned and then tilted her head slightly to one side, her ears flopping to the side also. "Slow down," she said softly, worried that Ford would choke himself again, her eyes soft and slightly mocking. Selene lifted her glass back up and swallowed down a long gulp of water, the cold refreshing liquid sliding down the inside of her throat. She licked her soft lips and then laid the glass back down, the glass was almost empty. Selene stared at Ford for a brief moment and then turned her head slightly, glaring at the man who had thrown a spoon at her head.

Ford finished eating, with only a few scraps of food left on his plate. He looked up to reach for his water, and saw Selene staring down a man. After using water to swallow the food that lingered in his throat, he asked, "what's wrong?" in a mumble across the table. It seemed like Selene was irate about someone there, but he couldn't exactly tell why.

Selene frowned when Ford spoke, but kept her eyes focused on the man, her ears pressing back on her head. She rubbed the back of her head, her fingers touching the spot the metal spoon had hit. Selene growled under her breath and then her eyes slowly narrowed. The man turned his head and caught Selene angry gaze, his face flushed immediately. Selene quieted and then hesitantly turned to look at Ford.

Ford looked over in the direction Selene was staring at, and saw a frightened man just as he was turning his head away. He chuckled a little bit, realizing the just of the situation, and asked in an ironic tone, "you two friends?" He wasn't exactly sure what the man had done to upset Selene, but he was sure it must have been good to get that kind of reaction out of Selene.
