Ford chuckled a little bit at her response. "Anything for you," he said jokingly. He was just glad that Selene looked like she would be able to recover. Ford was a bit glad when he saw Selene yawn. At least she wasn't in enough pain to prevent her sleep. Ford stopped stroking Selene's hair, and instead move his free hand around her shoulders.

[[Human and humanoids can't shift, but all three sub-races have a power. Humans are considered socially higher than humanoids and shape-shifters. The metaphysical powers of humanoids and shifters are determined at birth when they are given a special DNA, while humans can obtain a power later in life, but still cannot shift. Shifters are people who obtained the power to shift when they were given the DNA, while humanoids were given animalistic features.]]

Selene blushed brightly but stayed completely still, thinking over what Ford had said. She kept her eyes sealed shut, but smiled slightly. Selene's ears flickered up and tried to catch anything that Ford might of or done. She strained to hear anything, but her ears were still hurting from the sound of Ford's gun. Selene nuzzled her head up against Ford's knee, much like a dog showing affection for its owner.

Ford was a bit surprised by Selene's actions. He casually began rubbing his hands along her spine and shoulder blades, as he might have with a dog, before moving his hand up and rubbing underneath her chin. Ford smiled a little bit. He wasn't exactly sure when it happened, but he realized Selene was becoming comfortable around him.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Selene opened one eye and smiled, liking being pet. Her tail wagged back and forth happily and she seemed to be relaxed. Selene pulled back a bit and then shifted to her wolf form. Her bandages were still wrapped around her paw, they were even tighter actually. She opened both of her eyes and then gently licked Ford's hand. Selene pushed her muzzle to the boys hand and rubbed her head up against Ford's hand.

As Selene shifted to her wolf form, Ford realized how heavy it was. He always knew it was large, but it felt heavier than Selene did. As Selene began toying with his hand, he began stroking her left cheek. Ford was happy with Selene relaxed around him. He scooted back against the cave wall, and rested his back.

Selene closed her eyes and licked Ford's palm softly, her rough tongue glided over the boys hand. She whimpered slightly and then stood up. Selene limped around Ford and then laid down next to him. She laid her head down on the cold cave floor and then looked up at the boy with the side of her eye. Selene's ears perked up on the top of her head and her tail flickered back and forth in a slight wag.

Ford laid down next to Selene in a linear pattern, with their heads close together. He wasn't tired. In fact, it was still pretty early in the day. However, he felt it might calm Selene down a bit more and help her mentally. He rolled over, facing the ceiling, and closed his eyes.
