Talents In the Dark [Fantasy/ Human RP]

Selene frowned at the sound of Ford's gun, not liking that she was so close to the rifle. She raised her tail, warning the alpha to stay away. The alpha growled loudly and then took one step back, nervous about the gun. The other wolves also took a step back, and one even ran out of the cave whimpering like a pup. Selene smiled slightly and then looked back at the alpha and bared her large teeth at him. The alpha growled and then his hackles stood up, showing a display of absolute anger.

[Smexy Beast]

Seeing the alpha looking angry, Ford aimed again, and quickly pulled the trigger. He couldn't tell if the source of the inaccuracy was due to the way he pulled his finger back, or due to the bulky scope. The round went flying through the excess tissue of the Alpha's ear, scraping a layer of skin on his back.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Selene dropped down to the ground and shifted to her human form. She covered her ears with her hands and closed her eyes tightly, the gun shot leaving her temporally deaf. The alpha stumbled back and then whimpered lowly, scared about the gun and hurt from its bullet. The other wolves yelped and then ran out of the cave, leaving the alpha to fight alone.
The alpha winced and then looked over at Selene, noticing that she had let her guard down. He charged, running straight at Selene. Selene, unable to hear the wolf coming, stayed pressed down against the cave floor. The alpha leaped on Selene and bit down on her hand, crushing the bone. Selene's eyes widened and she let out a loud scream of pain. The alpha thrashed his head around, nearly ripping of the girls hand.

[[Lol are you some kind of masochist?]]

Ford, seeing the alpha attack Selene, kicked him in the chest, and put his rifle to the wolf's head. Even without lining up his sights, he knew it would be impossible to miss. Ford, squeezed the trigger, letting out another BAM. He ran over to Selene to make sure she was alright, and then over to his equipment, where he grabbed some of the extra medical supplies he had bought the other day. He began to bandage her hand, and rubbed her on the head when he had finished, whispering in her ear, "it's going to be ok."

Selene winced and then closed her eyes and laid her head against Ford's chest. It was clear she was in pain, who wouldn't be after having their hand nearly torn off. She whimpered softly, cradling her wounded hand on her lap. Selene tried her best to hold back tears, but the pain was too much for the girl. Tears streamed down Selene's cheeks, dampening her shirt. She closed her eyes tightly and then winced again, blood seeping through her bandaged hand. Selene whimpered again and then her ears pressed back against her her. Her ears were still ringing from the gun shot, she hadn't heard a word Ford had said to her.

Ford, noticing Selene was still in pain, grabbed her tightly from the side, beginning to cry with her. He couldn't stand to see her hurt that badly. He held his head next to hers, looking straight down at the base of her neck. He was somewhat. It was clear that Selene hadn't heard him, or had simply ignored him before. He repeated the phrase several times, before he became too depressed to continue speaking.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

(*glares at sammich* I kill you sammich...)

Selene drew in a deep breath and then opened her eyes and stared at Ford. She smiled, but it was one twisted with pain. Selene laid her head back down on the boys chest and winced once more. She heard Ford say something, but it was faint and mumbled. Her ears flickered up and caught Ford's repeat "it's going to be alright" once, and then he feel silent. Selene frowned and then wrapped her good arm around Ford's waste.
"I believe you..." she whispered and then opened her eyes slowly.

[[NOEZ!!! MAI SAMMICH!]]

Ford began to ease his grip. He was glad that Selene was good enough to reply to his statement. He nudged his head into hers a little bit, before retreating, and turning himself the same way Selene was facing.

(*laughs like an evil maniac* Mwahaha!)

Selene whimpered and then shut her eyes and then her body began to shake slightly. She was scared beyond all measure. But not for herself; she was worried for Ford. Selene was sure that the wolves would come back in search for their alpha. But they wouldn't, they were too frightened of Ford's rifle. She held Ford closer and then let out a shaken breath.
Selene stared at Ford and then laid her head down on his shoulder. She wished that Ford would never let her go, at least not right now. Selene lifted her wounded hand and then winced. She laid it down gently on Ford's chest and then closed her eyes. Even though she was in pain, she was happy she was with Ford.

Ford, a little bit taken back by Selene's behavior, grabbed her with his left arm, and began stroking the side of her head with his right. He felt relieved that Selene trusted him, and that she didn't look as burdened as she did earlier. He rested his chin on top of Selene's head and closed his eyes. It felt a little bit weird with Selene's ear tickling his neck, but it wasn't uncomfortable.
