"Nice to meet you." Hallie smiled again, then bit her lip. "Having trouble with the peacekeepers?" She asked, blowing her hair out of her eyes.
"They're idiots." Darcey replied.
"Yeah they are. They're sick. This whole place is sick!" She guestured with her hand towards the screming crowds. "They murder children!"
"What do you think about the games?" She asked Darcey, placing a hand on her hip and cocking her eyebrow.

Well that's where I stand with him, I thought bitterly, upset that he had only said a few words to me, then started talking to the other girl. No, no, no I chided, it didn't mean anything, I told myself. I took a deep breath, calming the argument inside me. I always tried to hide my feelings, and because of it, they were usually more intense, because I never let anything out. I felt bad , hearing him make another comment. I didn't know if it was bothering him, so I stared down at my boots.
Leo
I watched a girl standing alone (Angel) and wondered if she was nice. I wasn't in the mood to talk, but I would be happy to if it meant taking my attention off of the crowd.

Reese looked at her "You do realize that some of us can kick butt, right?" he asked.

Nyx's frown deepened. "Neither can I. I'm a healer, not a killer. I was planning on helping the other tributes out. I know plants really well so I can heal them. It would be nice to have sponsors though. They could give me the medicine that I can't make."

Mac-With Cinder and Nyx-Feeling pulled around

He listened to Nyx but his mind was on the girl behind him, she seemed almost...lonely, like she was hiding everything and secretly she was wishing he was talking with her. But he didn't know what to do he was trying to communicate with Nyx as well he couldn't reject either. "Uh, plants, right." He stammered and became distracted, glancing around at everyone.

Zayla-With Reese-Exasperated

She pretended to almost start crying and nodded. "Yeah, I'm a goner."

Angel looked around seeing the boy (Leo) she uncrossed her arms and looked away blushing slightly, dont think about it angel dont you dare go and speak to him he could be your enemy, she thought to herself

"Hey, you can kill or hide, You look like you would rather hide." Reese pointed out, he folded his arms.

Evee still kept up her act.

I didn't know what to do, so I just stared down at my boots and closed my eyes, letting the roar of the crowd overtake me. I took deep, even breaths, letting myself feel small in the crowd. I snapped them open, and glanced around, feeling... lost.
Leo
I smiled slightly at the girl, watching her mannerisms. I watched what she did, and looked up at the sky as a cloud passed in front of the sun.

Nyx sighed slightly before speaking. "I'm sorry. You probably don't care what I plan to do." She sunk her teeth into her bottom lip, something she did often, and gripped her locket lightly. She turned away from Mac, getting distracted by the crowd of people that were screaming and yelling. She shook her head slightly and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Her thoughts soon traveled to her sister. I hope she will be okay without me there. Dad's going to have to stay home more. She can't live on her own. she thought.
