I pulled my arm our of the Peacekeepers grasp. He went to grab my arm again, but when he saw I wasn't going to run away, he let me go. I watched as another girl approached me. "I'm Darcy Lewis. District 9," I replied.

"Nice to meet you Mac. I hope to keep away from you in the games though. You look a lot stronger than me." Nyx admitted as she glanced around at the tributes. To be honest, most of them looked a lot stronger than she was. She turned around when she heard Mac speak. She tilted her head slightly to the left and smiled softly at the new girl.

He nodded, watching her closely and trying not to seem to icy, he was just mad at the Capitol, the peacekeepers, everything. "I'm sorry too it's just I've been kind of dragged around all day and I'm sick of it." He shrugged, sighing inwardly as he turned back to Nyx. "Well don't worry, I don't plan on playing their game."

She rolled her eyes when he wasn't looking, she wouldn't mind taking him down.

I nodded, I was exhausted too, and ready to punch someone on the face. I was ready to go off if someone made me mad. I found myself watching him as he turned back to the other girl. I knew he just told me to stop staring, but I was doing it again. I blushed, annoyed with myself, and forced my gaze down at the ground.

"Nice to meet you." Hallie smiled again, then bit her lip. "Having trouble with the peacekeepers?" She asked, blowing her hair out of her eyes.
"They're idiots." Darcey replied.
"Yeah they are. They're sick. This whole place is sick!" She guestured with her hand towards the screming crowds. "They murder children!"
"What do you think about the games?" She asked Darcey, placing a hand on her hip and cocking her eyebrow.

Nyx tilted her head and frowned slightly. "What do you mean you won't play their game?" she asked, keeping her voice low. "If you don't play they'll just kill you off. Its not worth it." She said with a small shake of her head. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed deeply.

I shied away from the peacekeeper and stepped out of the train, squinting in the bright sunlight. The road of the crowd was deafeningly loud, and I tried my best to ignore it. I walked forward, trying not to let the fear show on my face.

He sighed, still facing Nyx as he said. "Your looking at me again." He said, it was a thing of his, he could always tell when people were looking at him with particular interest. He glanced at her, still waiting for Nyx's reply. When she did he answered back. "I would rather die then kill another, especially after I've met them once." He said meaningfully then shrugged. "I died when I was chosen, simple as that."
