Kennedy nodded. "Let's go, it'll help put my mind at rest." She pulled a bag out of thin air as if it had been made by shadows, and yawned. "Cookie?" She offered pulling one out of the bag.

Arkae nodded the soldier off, and dismounted. "I'll go to the armory, see what I can find." She nodded to the queen and departed into the castle, piling out a black metal key. "I hope this is for what I think it's for..." She muttered as she reached the armory door. Unlocking it with another key from her ring, she went to the very back, and looked about the room to check if it was empty. Looking back at what she was doing, she pulled out one of the wall stones, and removed a black metal box, same as the key. She had found the key a few months ago when patrolling the southern border, but only recently had found the box. The key turned smoothly in the lock, and the box popped open with a click. "Holy-" a white dagger laid in the middle of the box, emenating a bluish green light. Arkae closed the box, and hid it in a pouch in her belt, grabbing the queens and her own sword, and a few other choice weapons, returning to the dragons.

Aracknae(for some reason the autocorrect for that is Stack bar...) lunged for Will after Azreal, giving a painful blow to his already wounded shoulder.

Will cried out in pain as he was attacked, and his shoulder began to bleed again. He then let out some choice words that were much too colorful to repeat here. He tried to use his staff to frost over the swamp so he wouldn't sink every time he moved, and so he could move more quickly, but the frost began to melt as soon as he set it, encouraging the onslaught.

James sat with Eithne and looked at the landscape below, as his dragon smoked fire out his nose.


Taborri played with a frozen snowball, smiling a little, as she frosted here hands a little.

Nico Striker

Given Kwinerva's original irritability, Nico was surprised, but he certainly was not complaining, either, to see her embrace this intimate gesture. Perhaps he wasn't as annoying to her as he'd initially thought. Did she really not mind that he was a wanted criminal with an...overly zealous appreciation for pranks and shiny trinkets? He hugged her more tightly-it wasn't a crushing embrace, but a secure one, as if he feared something was going to snatch her away from him.

August Quinn

August raised an eyebrow as Kennedy pulled a cookie out of the bag, but soon decided that it wasn't the oddest thing he'd ever seen. "No thank you," he replied with a courteous smile. "I appreciate the offer, though." he slid one hand into his jacket and retrieved a golden pocket-watch. He only glanced at its glossy face momentarily; it wasn't an impatient gesture. Rather, he just wanted to make note of what time they were departing. It never hurt to pay attention to these things, anyhow.

Bistre Irok

"Alright, hurry back," Bistre answered, waiting patiently for Arkae to return from the castle. As she did, she briefly let her mind wander to what could lie beyond the Southern boarder. She wished with all her might that this wasn't the truth, but she feared it could be something very formidable, and very serious. She hoped to the Heavens that it was something silly. That it was some rogue organization with a bit of expertise in bluffing and intimidation. She wanted it to be something foolish. But there was a shadowy dread clawing at her heart, and she knew that couldn't possibly be it.
Arkae walked back outside with the weapons. Bistre wore a solemn expression as the guard from earlier returned with a handful of soldiers to take along. "Looks like we're ready to go," she observed.

Azrael Stygian

Azrael cackled at the sight of blood trickling down the boy's shoulder, and a string of rather unpleasant vocabulary launched into the air. Excellent... he watched as the citizen of Frostendale struggled to produce cold of any kind in such a humid environment. After releasing another peal of laughter, he lunged forward, trying to attack again. This time, he was aiming for a leg. I will watch him die painfully, and alone; far from his home in a pitiful attempt to rescue that pathetic woman over there... he speculated cruelly.

She smiled and moved her head to now look up at him. "you still haven't answered about what kind of cookie you are... although I do agree you are rather sweet.", she said with a grin, arms around him. She smirked now, pulling gently free of his arms and dancing away, teasing him now as she went to the kitchen. "Soooo.. which is it? Chocolate chip? Oatmeal?Oatmeal chocolate chip? Chocolate? Snickerdoodle? Oatmeal raisin?", she asked, saying each as though they were each a possible answer to solve a crime. "I say snickerdoodle.. just because the name sounds a bit like you.", she added, running her hand back through her hair.
