Captain Amelia ~ Neko
I had been enjoying the conversation up until that point. Up until the point where the incredibly stupid human flounced over and started talking to the first mate as captain. My eyes narrowed and my tail rose about a foot. I was on the verge of hissing when Mako skillfully directed all authority back to its proper place. Good. I had worked hard for this position, and this little human was not going to get away with ignoring it.
Mako leaves with the new cadet; leaving me to deal with the human alone. She rambles on for a bit, as I grow more, and more agitated. I purse my lips, keeping my eyes narrowed at the slender female. She asks to ride as a passenger- even though it was last minute- and for adventure. I open my lips to say "No", but it comes out as a rather sour "Yes." I sigh, shifting from one foot to another. "Yes you may stay on board. But, you will not bother me, my crew, or any other passenger. You hear?"
Officer X ~ Robot
I barely notice the angel as she speaks to me. Currently, I was more focused with the prisoner is inching his way away from me. I stick my arm out, clamp it around his flesh arm, and pull him back sharply. Then, I turn my head to him. "No. You will not walk away from me without permission. If you try to escape, punishment can, and will be severe." I script out, sounding very robotic. They had originally made me to sound human, with natural pauses and flow, but it had failed miserably.
I look back to Prisoner Shafer. "You are being relocated to the cargo area where your actions will be monitored at all times. Please come with me." I turn sharply toward the door and begin to walk.
Lauren Shafer ~ Human Prisoner
S---! This was very, very bad. In a way words can't describe. Well, at least not good words can. I bite my lip. This totally threw the plans off. Completely, totally, threw a wretch in the entire scheme. How was I supposed to get to Owen?
Or worse...how would Owen get out? Those barrels were heavy, something that was hard for me to move- on the top. How would he move them from the inside? The barrels contained large amounts of food. Would he be able to move it? Or would he slowly starve to death? Or go blind from the lack of light? I left the hole open in the barrels, so maybe he could use it as leverage?
These thoughts go through my head so fast as I follow X that I don't even take a single look at the cyborg prisoner accompanying me in my journey to the Imperial Prison, nor do I listen to the angel or her companion. In truth, I could not bring myself to look them in the eyes after boldface lying to them. So rather than look at them, for the first time, I look back to the cyborg. He is bound heavily, and has a sort of large, boulder-like quality to his neck and shoulders. I manage a half smile at him.
