I looked at the two girls. The reason this had happened to kailee was my fault. Maybe if I hadn't said no to kailee she wouldn't have done that. But, why would have happened to Amanda? And what if kailee found out I didn't actually like her if I didn't say no. I looked down.

I look up at Joshua to see him upset, I don't want to trouble Joshua... I stand up shakily, grabbing the counter top, " Do you want some time alone? " I ask him softly, my water bottle in hand.

I look over at Kailee, then back at Joshua, Her crying won't help him in anyway. I think as I watch Josh, " If you need anything, just come ask me. I'll be in the back of the store. " I say softly. Then, I walk over to him and give him a small hug, but don't wait for him to hug back. I pull away and walk back over to Kailee, " Come on, I gonna take you else where to rest. " I say with a soothing voice. I pull her onto my back and carry her out of the room. I glance back at Joshua before leaving the room. In the main office of the store, I find a couch to lay Kailee on. I do so, and cover her with a blanket, " Now, you need to rest, Doctor's orders. "
