It didn't take long for Dumir to completely doze off, safe in his empty dreams for the time being. The numb sensation of not really dreaming, instead just floating in an abyss absent of thoughts and worries was rather comforting to him. Others found it unsettling; the feeling of waking up not long after you fell asleep did not appeal to all. Dumir, on the other hand, found that dreams were what's indeed unsettling and led to a rather restless night, as opposed to his floating nights. And so he was fast asleep in one of those moments when the soft fur brushed against his shoulder and the exposed skin on his neck. Normally in that situation, Dumir would have found his reflexes go off and be in a defensive position in moments. This seemed different however, and he allowed his eyes to slowly open, large, round, and dark-colored pupils scanning the area in front of him before he realized the tail hovering near him was indeed Nikki's.

Dumir's expressionless face slowly morphed into a relaxed one, and couldn't help but reach up to gently run the back of his fingers along the fur that made up her tail. It was indeed soft, though he had no idea why it wouldn't be. His own tail was quite the opposite of this; it was covered with scales, obviously, but was also cold to the touch and hard. Like individual rocks, as he had once been told. Nikki's was softer, and warm as he assumed fur would be. In reality he had never really felt fur much before, for what mammal would get close enough to him to actually allow him to feel the exposed pelt? He allowed his eyes to close, his hand still brushing her tail before he pondered what to do next. They could always return back to her house, but that wouldn't work too well if she wanted him gone. He had, after all, only asked to stay the night. Or they could take up Viktoriya's offer to go see a movie? That last option didn't seem as appetizing to him as the first though, and so he pushed everything once more to the back of his mind, and thus allowing himself time to clear out his thoughts and wait for Nikki to awaken.

Nikki, despite being in such a deep sleep, responded to Dumir touching her tail. Her tail twitched slightly when he had first touched it, but then as he started to stroke the fur she relaxed again and started to purr once more. This time much louder, though. Unlike some other species, cats could tell when they were being pet, even in their deepest sleep. Some would say it was annoying, knowing that you were being touched without actually knowing, while others said that it would help. Nikki found it annoying, not useful, but she always took into acount that if something was trying to harm her while she was asleep, her sences would be acute enough to wake herself up and get away before something bad happened. But Dumir's touch didn't wake her up, or even do the slightest in bothering her sleep. In reallity it just made her calmer.

Some time later, 15 or so minutes, she woke up. Not fully awake at first, and it took her a minute to wake up enough to sit up and let out a quiet yawn. The nap had made her feel better, and she wasn't as tired as the night before from the lack of sleep. She blamed that fact on Dumir. Her tail moved slightly and she picked up the touch of Dumir's hand. Nikki turned and looked down at him after letting her tail curl around his wrist. "Have you been sitting their for a while?" She asked sleepily. It accured to her that she had scensed him come into the room before she had fallen asleep, but did the owner know that he was back here? If he came in and noticed the two, he might say something to Dumir about coming in only after asking about it. Then again, Nikki knew him well enough that he would probably just give a look, role his eyes, and ask if her hand was any better. Can we go home now? She thought as one of her ears started to twitch from an itch she was to lazy to scratch.

It longer than a while to Dumir to register the question that Nikki had asked. Her words echoed around in the void of his mind, like that of a voice one would hear in a dream. The only problem with that thought was that Dumir was deaf in his dreams; he couldn't recall ever in his life hearing a single sound in his dreams. That aside, the abyss he was in was also far from dreaming, which meant the only plausible explanation was that Nikki had awaken.

Dumir's brain worked rather oddly when asleep, as most would agree. The tip of his tail flicked to the side with quick, reptilian- like movements, and soon he had his eyes open and examining the room. It never took him long to wake up, for he rarely ever fell asleep completely. His sleeping patterns were, once again, far from he norm.

"Hmm? A while I guess."

He let out a soft purring sound from his throat, though in reality it was far from it. After all, reptiles don't purr, now do they? Dumir rose his eyes to glance towards Nikki, and the soft grin already plastered on his face widened to a full-fledged smile.

"So did you sleep well, princess?"

The last part was intended as a joke, and so he felt obliged to chuckle softly at the end, until he realized he had started stroking her tail that is. His eyes flickered down towards the striped tail, and Dumir couldn't help but tilt his head to the side with curiosity.

Nikki had finally had enough of her ear itching and decided to scratch it. Thats when she rememberd about her hand. She gave it a quick glance, but it didn't hurt so she left it as it was. It took a little while for Dumir to answer her question, so she guessed he had fallen asleep. she watched his tail for a moment, then lifted her ears at the second thing he said. Princess? She was far from one, if she said so herself. But in the end Nikki couldn't help but smile. "Yes, I did. But now I'll probably be up most of the night." Nikki said, yawning and stretching for a moment before Dumir started to pet her tail again. It twitched for a moment, then Nikki started to purr. It took a moment for her to catch herself doing it, and she made herself stop.

Purring, really. What was with her today? She thought for a moment, then dropped her ears. She had just thought of something: where had Viktoriya gone off to? Was she still outside in the cafe? Her tail twitched for a moment before she let it relax. Nikki turned her attention back towards her hand. A few seconds went by before she grabbed part of the bandages in her mouth and tugged on them with a quiet growl. She was half trying to get them off, half just trying to make them a little looser. Thats when the owner of the little coffee cafe came in. He noticed her pulling on the bandages and smacked her lightly on the head. Nikki jumped slightly and said a quiet "Ow!" then placed a hand on her head where he had hit her. "Don't do that. You want your hand to get infected?" He asked, then looked down at Dumir. He just waved and went back out. Nikki's ear twitched a few times as she rubbed her head.

Dumir couldn't help but laugh upon hearing the Cafe owner's response to Nikki's pulling on the bandage. If he hadn't beat him to it, he probably would have said something as well, but at the moment the humor of the moment overwhelmed him. He actually leaned forward, trying to contain his breath for a moment and calm himself. It probably wasn't even that funny, but Dumir felt a bit numb at the moment and so, naturally, it seemed just plain hilarious.

Once his fit had passed, Dumir glanced up at her with playfully, innocent eyes despite the slight frown on his mouth.
"He's right, ya know. You can infect it if you take it off to fast; I'm sure it's not healed already."
His lips pursed into a deep line after the words escaped his maw, though only for the briefest of moments before the humor returned to his face. Surprisingly however, Dumir didn't say anything after that to combat the mood he had just set, and instead ran the back of his hand down her tail fur once more absentmindedly. Dumir had already assumed it didn't bother her that much as she didn't say anything, not to mention the earlier purring. That part also contributed to the laughing fit he had just recovered from in fact; he hadn't realized it would be so easy to make her react like that. A smile pressed against the sides of his face as he continued to stare at her own face, eying her ears above all.

Nikki stuck her tongue out at him, then put her hand back down onto the bed and flicked one of her ears. After a moment, she laid down on the bed so that Dumir could still pet her tail, but in a way that let her arms half rest on the bed, and half hang over the side. She was just propping herself up on her elbows now, watching Dumir stroke her tail. Mostly she was just wantching how the fur on her tail would go flat as he ran over it, then as his hand left the tips of the fur watch it spike back up into its normal possition. Her ear twitched again as the scents of the candle started to make her drowsy again. Stupid candle. She wasn't even tired anymore, really. Nikki thought for a moment. Then again, she was a cat. Even tigers tended to sleep a lot during the day. Cat naps. Ugh... She thought, dropping her head onto one of her arms and letting out a quiet sigh. Her gaze shifted from her tail down to the ground, then she closed her eyes for a moment, trying to keep herself awake.

Despite the drowsyness, she was able to stay awake. She opened her eyes again and tried to focus on the coffee scent coming through the door. Maybe she would be able to get another coffee for on the way home? But then she remembered Dumir's cooking and how he had pretty much used up most of her food. I'll have to go shopping before I go home... Nikki thought.

It was rather obvious now that Nikki indeed did not mind the petting, something that relived him in a way for Dumir rather enjoyed the softness. It was so different than his own scales; their hard and smooth texture could not compare to the silky flow of fur that was so natural, yet not forced into a neverending pattern as were scales. His mouth stayed locked in a grin until he noticed the look that was starting to take control of her face. If puzzled him for he didn't feel any urge in the least to sleep, besides just wanting to stay this close to Nikki without being glared at. It had to end sometime though, and Dumir had the notion that the shopkeeper would only be okay with them staying back here for so long. And so with that he pushed himself forward onto the balls of his feet and slowly arose, his tail sliding down from the crook of his arm to his side.

"Wakey wakey, Nikki. Why don't we head on home and you can take a nap there?"

Dumir's voice was oddly calm, the humor driven out of it from the moment. It was odd for him to be this way, though this was the first time he had received the chance of spending a full day with another person, no interruptions included. In reality it probably was just him being tired, but at the moment the teenager didn't particularly want to think about it.

Nikki's eyes closed a little bit more and twitched one of her ears for a moment. When Dumir stood up, her ears lifted and she gazed up at him, then sat up on the bed and stretched lazily. Her tail swished back and forth for a moment before she got off of the bed and went to open the door. She half expected Viktoriya to burst in, but she didn't, which made her a little happy. "We're leaving." Nikki told the owner. He waved to them as they walked out, then he just rolled his eyes and went back to working. "We should stop at the store before we head back." Nikki said to Dumir, still a little sleepy. but she knew after going out into the fresh air that she would wake up. Maybe not the entire way, but enough to not feel too sleepy. Nikki looked around for Viktoriya, spotting her still sitting at the table. What she really wanted to do was just walk past her, but for some reason she couldn't help but go up to her. "...Coming too?" Nikki asked her quietly.

Carter was fast asleep on his couch. He was completely covered in a sheet, with only his tail poking out from under it. Someone outside knocked on his door, making his head shoot up under the sheet and ears perk up. After getting his head out of the sheet and tossing it off of him, he went to the door and opened it. A maleman was there with a box. "You Carter?" He asked. Carter stared at him, then wagged his tail and smiled, grinning. The man sighed and gave him the box, then left. Carter shut the door and sat back down on his couch, then opened the box and took out the collar he had ordered. strange as it was, he had wanted to wear one himself. He put it around his neck, then checked in the bathroom mirror. The name 'Carter Collie' was on the bone shaped dogtag. His tail started to wag again and he made a growly noise, then left his appartment and went to go to the park to watch the birds.

Humanoid of: Collie
Description: Black hair with red and blonde highlights. He has floppy black and white collie ears, and a rather short and fluffy black and white tail as well. Carter has a few freckles on his face, and a charming grin(even though he acts like he is a little kid) The collie DNA in him tends to make him a little jumpy and strate forward. His clothes consist of frayed, baggy, tannish shorts and normally a t-shirt of some sort. Carters teeth are somewhat pointed, like a dogs teeth.
Personality: His favorite thing to do is look up at the sky and watch birds. He doesn't like a lot of things that a collie would probably like, but he is friendly like one. Whenever he gets scratched on the ear, his tail started to wag really fast and he tends to make a playful whineing noise.
Other: Lives by himself in a small appartment in the middle of town. He is also mute. This is due to him not being able to speak when he was born, though he can make whines and growls like a dog, he can not speak like a human.
