Owen didn't hear her last words, but smelled the smoke. Some of the other people had noticed and were leaving out the front door. He covered his nose and mouth wih his hand to prevent from breathing in smoke. "Everyone out!" He shouted. Owen knew that was best. "We gotta get out of here!" He said to Selene, dragging her with him out the door.

Kadina rushed back in, limping a little. "Hey people OUT. Fire." She cried, not caring about the blood on her hands. She leant forward to touch Selene's arms. "Hey, your brother saved me. But c'mon, fire." Kadina urged.

Selene tripped on a wire and fell on the floor, Brilliant! her mind said sarcastically and angrily and tried to hide her nose from the scent of Kadina's blood,'' Just go. I'll get out soon.'' she gave Kadina a small push out of the door as beams came timbling down and had Selene cornered with fir and burning furniture,'' Huh. Never thought it would end this way. Charred like a kebab.'' she said with slight amusement and sarcasm to her tone.

Kadina shook her head. "No!" She protested, not leaving, as she saw Selene was trapped. She swiftly walked outside on the back, bringing in the garden house. It was such a hard work to get in her hands were now bleeding allover, blisters appearing. She started the hose off, directed at the fire surrounding Selene, but it was doing nothing.

"I'm not leaving you here." He growled. He helped her up and found a window. Owen kicked it out with his foot and helped Selene out first.

"Uh..." Kadina rushed through the house, trying to find something. She hauled it out. Her book, Vampire School. She rushed outside breathing, her bloodstained face deeply fire burnt. "Needed this. First edition. Grandma bought it me. Passed away now." She leant back on Zane. "My fault. I'd left the cooker on. Stupid me!"

'' Owen. I'll be fine. Seriously.'' Selene said calmly as she slid back inside the house,'' Just go Owen.'' she said assuringly yet roughly as she put her hands on his shoulders,'' You are more important that I am.'' she said in a matter-of-factly tone as she forced him out the window.

'' What about your house?'' Zane said worried for her,'' I know! You can stay with me and Selene.'' he put slight emphasis on Me instead of Selene.

Kadina' eyes lit up. "Really?" she seemed so happy. "You won't know I'm there, seriously, becase I have all my clothes in another place. Well, my car, but that's only for emergency. And, I don't really eat much. Also, I stare at things for hours. Like you." She kissed Zane's cheek. "Thanks, really, it means allot."

Zane smiled,'' Of course. We have three rooms so you get one all to yourself. Its next to mine naturally.'' he smiled then kissed her softly.
