The huntress nodded silently, "As I am sorry about your mate." she said softly as she watched him for a moment.

"It's alright, we both knew one of us would go out that way one day. A vampire's life may be prolonged in years, double that of a humans. But there has never been one of our kind to die by old age. I bet you humans never knew that,"

She sighed as she sat there, "I am sorry.: she said as she watched him.

"Why?" he asked, his eyes studied her curiously, a fascinated look in his eyes. He didn't understand why she seemed to care.

"Because you do not deserve to do, I can tell that you don't kill, or I would be dead." she said as she looked at him.

"I've killed many before, it's only that you are more fortunate then some," replied the vampire calmly.

The huntress looked at him, "Well it is lucky for me then." she said, her hands went to her stomach protectively.

"For both of you," corrected the vampire, his gaze never leaving her. He knew she was protective of her unborn child. "How many months 'til due?"

The huntress nodded as she watched him, her eyes never leaving him, she was wary of the way he was staring at her, she stood up and moved a little farther away. "One." she told him.
