The church seemed still used, there were candles around the marble altar and the rest of the room, lit and spreading their flicking light upon the stone walls and floor, upon wooden benches and beautiful rugs. The candles were almost burnt out, they seemed to have once been tall, but now short. And though it seemed so alive, there was not a soul in sight but them.
