Gabriel was angered by seeing the child kicked. He aimed his gun for the hunter and pulled the trigger. Hoping to wound him in the leg so he'd fall. Though he deserved death, just as Gabriel now believed he did for all the innocent ones he had killed. He had to protect this child.

"I'm Jade." she said as she looked at the other hunter for a moment, studying him.

The hunter cursed as he was shot, his leg gave out and he fired wildly at Hecate and Gabriel. The child curled up closer to it's mothers body.

"My name is Kain," He replied, sighing and slinging the gun over hos shoulder. "And man, Jade, you must have bad aim to miss that clear a shot. You could of nailed the beast right between it's eyes!"

Gabriel pushed Hecate out of the way as he jumped to the side. He then kicked at the hunter's face. "Drop the gun and I won't kill you!"

Jade gave him a cold look but remained silent as she walked, not wanting him to think she meant to save the vampire, she looked around and sighed.

The hunter looked at him, coughing slightly, he dropped the gun when Gabriel told him to.

Kain smiled up at the sky, "Good weather right now, but boy, that storm a while ago was nasty! All the beasts will be coming out to feed."

Gabriel kicked the gun away from him, then went to the child and with careful hands he attempted to scoop her up and pull her away from the corpse that was her mother.

jade nodded as she glanced at him, "Why do you hunt?" she questioned as they walked. She kept her eyes open for any vampires that could be walking around.

The little vampire was crying, she let out a squeak of fear. She looked at him with wide, dark orange eyes. She looked at her mother and then hugged him tightly, burrowing her face against his chest, shaking and sobbing for her mom.

Gabriel sighed sadly and held the child, trying to be gentle. He looked at the corpse and shook his head. "Don't fret little one," he said to the girl as he looked away from the corpse and at at Hecate, "Let's get back. I need to be sure we're safe before I put her down."

The little girl clung to him as she cried. Hecate nodded as she watched the, worriedly. She looked at the body and sighed softly as she headed to the house.

"What happened to him?" she asked as she looked at him.

They returned to the house and opened the door. He entered and went right to the couch. There he sat and stroked the girl's hair. "Shhh, You're safe now, nice and safe." he assured softly. He glanced towards Hecate with questioning eyes, he wanted to know what to do after he'd calmed her.

Hecate went to get a blood bag for the young vampire. The girl looked up at him, "I want my mommy." she said as she watched him.

"I am sorry to here that." She said as she looked at him.
