"I can't wait," I replied, a broad smiled covering my face. I watched his eyes sparkle in excitement, and it was contagious. I found myself happier with him now than I had been in a long, long, long time. I had a hard childhood, growing up in district twelve, but I was able to secretly move here and destroy my old records, so no one questioned it. I found the Jabberjays and meet Jaylon.

I grinned. The whole thing just made me happier than ever. Growing up being told constantly that you weren't good enough, and being beaten when you couldn't exceed your best wasn't much to smile about. But this was. Saving twenty three children from public execution, punishing the ones who put them there. I wondered why a similar rebellion hadn't been formed before.

I watched his face as he got deep in thought. I smiled, thinking about the time we had spent together trying to plan this rebellion. He came up with genius plans and always made me smile, even when it seemed this was hopeless.

Basil smiled more warmly. "I'm Basil, District 8. Nice to meet you Phillip." Her smile was wide but her eyes were cold as winter. She was conducting a completely normal conversation but was scanning each tribute, judging whether or not they would be a good ally. she had seen the guy from her district. He looked power hungry, but dangerous. She would have to keep an eye on him.

"It's hard to believe, isn't it? After all we've done, it's amazing to see everything coming together. But that might just be me..." I smiled, looking around. "I can't see any holes in the project, but I still feel like something will go wrong, just because it seems like it's going to work... Is that ridiculous?" I asked, biting my lip.

"Not at I all," I replied, a small smile still on my face. "I feel the se way about all this," even though the plan seemed perfect, there's was still that nagging feeling that something could go wrong. I just hoped no one got hurt.

I sighed again.
"If anyone gets hurt on this project, it's my fault..." I replied. "After all, I made the made the project. I got everyone dragged in. I'll never forgive myself if anyone gets hurt during the games..."

I gently took his hand in mine, looking up into his eyes. "Don't think like that," I said softly, "We all gave our lives to the cause, knowing it would be dangerous. We trust you, and we wouldn't blame you for anything no matter what happens. I trust you," I said, watching his eyes.
