Tom nodded and un-looped one of his arms from the tree trunk to accept the drawing pad, he cautiously unhooked the other and gulped, letting himself get used to not hugging the tree before flipping through the drawing pad, "Are you kidding? these are great!" he complimented, looking over at her.

"Really?" Nevaeh asked surprised, then noticed herself flushing from the compliment and lowered her gaze to look at the ground below them.

Tom nodded, smiling at her blush, "Definitely, I wish I could draw this well."

After a moment, Nevaeh looked back at him, "Welp, thanks, and honestly, your the only person I've shown them to." she ended in almost a whisper as flashbacks of arguments with her parents popped into the front of her mind and shook her head a little, as if making them go away, before she made herself seem herself again.

"Then I'm honored to be the first to see them," Tom smiled brightly, looking through the drawings again, "they really are extremely well drawn."

"Thanks." Navaeh said, shaking her head and wrapped her legs around the branch before asking, ''Are you thirsty?"

"Not really," Tom answered then held the drawing pad back out to her smiling still, "you really do have a lot of talent."

Nevaeh nodded, "Okay well, I'm going to go get a drink." she said before putting her drawing pad in her mounth, as she slid around to the bottom of the branch and let her legs go before she let herself drop and looked up in the tree where Tom was and smiled, "Wanna go with then?"

Tom attempted the same move and ended up on his butt, "sure." he nodded, getting to his feet and brushing off.

Nevaeh laughed as Tom stood up, ''I think that you may need to work on your landing a bit." she said as she started in the direction of her house.
