Menekai couldn't help it, he was too curious. This plant godess seemed new here, and Menekai wanted to know more about her and the famaliar. Slowly he started following Aster and Jade, hiding in the shadows
(I forgot to add this, but Menekai can unhinge his jaw so he can open his mouth wider)

Aster felt like they were being watched but didn't see anything. he and Jade kept walking.
"do i have to keep this headband on?" Jade asked.
"yes, you do." Aster replied.
"but that land deity didn't. i wish i met her." Jade replied.
"and that's her decision to let any demons know she's there i just think it's a better idea to keep it on." Aster continued.

Any suspisions he had about them were confirmed instantly. A smalle smile cruved on his lips showing his teeth as he slunk through the town.

Aster stopped as a breeze carried the scent of that snake guy. he sighed. "an example," he said. "would be snakes in the grass." he crossed his arms.

Menekai felt the wind change and heard Aster. He muttered a curse under his breath, they had noticed him, and he was sure faking his identity wouldn't work. Either way he pretended not to be following them, he looked around at different houses on the street, pretending to be interested in getting home, not watching Aster and Jade.

"what are you talking about Aster?" Jade asked.
Aster smirked. "he's been following us. but there's only one way to make sure." he wispered to her as he pionted to Menekai. "keep up!" he said and grabbed her hand. they started running into the town.

Menekai cursed, this wasn't going to wok out was it. He started to speed up in his gait, but didn't speed up too much. He already knew what he wanted to, he didn't need to follow them. Menekai slowed down and started walking in the shadows again, this time disappearing once he neared a place he could slink off to. He reappeared on the top of a building. He wanted to know which shrine they lived in and how they got there, then he could teleport there when ever he wanted.

Aster ran into a dark alley and rand into the shadows on the wall, making him and Jade appear right behind him. "boo." he said with a grin.

Menekai was a bit confused when Aster and Jade ran into an alley, but when they dissapeared he was even more confused, but that confusion didn't last long. The second he heard Aster's voice behind him he whipped around and let out a hiss, showing his long fangs.
