[Phoenix's Rebirth]

An explosion? What could that mean? Serenity glanced around, thinking maybe some border control officers were behind this. Then she heard a softer thud just a short distance away (Kodiac landing). What if it is the border watchmen? What will they do? She was too frightened to move, but she wanted to know what was nearby, and what had happened.

Kodiac streched his head forward, his brilliant eyes catching sight of Serenity and the dragon. The human looked panicked, was that because of him?

Versii kept an eye on Alex as she walked after Vlaxar. Her tail flicked here and there as she walked, keeping a careful watch on their surroundings. "We should be nearing it. I can already hear the sounds from your communities," she said and looked down to Alex with a light smile. "Do your parents ever worry about you not being home?"

Serenity noticed something in the forest. She couldn't tell what it was, but was afraid to find out. If it was border control, they'd be in serious trouble, but if it was, they weren't saying anything. Border control would shout warnings and would have probably surrounded them by now. No, it wasn't border control. "Sham, there's something over there."

Alex shook his head, "not there never worried, but after this they might. Who ever did this wanted a fight, my parents work for the border control to keep the treaty in tacked and try and keep the Military from coming over here and just start attacking you guys." He said. They soon reached the border, "here let me take that off of you." he said and pointed to the saddle.

Zyka heard the sound of the explosion. It was coming from where the dragons had been gathering. She had been curious before but now she had to find out what was going on. She picked up her pace a bit and flew in the direction of where she heard the sound of the explosion.

Versii nodded her head and moved toward Alex, crouching slightly so that it'd be easier to take it off of her. "The others would begin to wonder what I've been up to if I still had this on me," she said, smiling slightly. "I do enjoy flying with you, though. It's much fun. Except, the part where we were almost killed by the jet."

Alex laughed slightly, "Yes it is exciting, excepted the part where we almost got killed by the jet." he said. A helicopter was coming towards them, but slowly. he took off the saddle, "That would be the news, they wont come near the border though, just enough to get a closer look at what happened. I should go know, but im not sure if we should see each other in a few days." he said sadly.

Versii frowned when she heard that he probably shouldn't see her for a few days. "Aw," she muttered as he took off the saddle. "At least I'll Vlaxar to keep me some company while you're gone." She moved toward Alex and licked his cheek a few times. "I'll miss you. And, I'll come back here around the same time every day to see if you would come. I don't want to miss that day that you do come."

Alex smiled and laughed, but her tong was really rough and it hurt a little, but he didn't mind, "Sorry." he said then looked over at the sky. "I should go. Ill try and come and see you but i don't know when." he said as he started running towards his truck. He soon can to his truck, hid the saddle in the back and drove away from the border. he sighed in relef when he didn't get caught or anything. He soon got home, took out the saddle and hid it under his bed, so no one would find it. He checked the message machine. Five new messages. he sighed, and grabbed the phone and dialed his mom's cell phone. One ring was all it took, "Were have you been?! Are you ok? I was worried sick, i was about to come home and see what had happened to you! Do you know how worried me and your father where?!" His mom emititly started talking, "Sorry mom, i took a shower and then was in my room with the door shut and i didn't hear the phone ring. I'm sorry, but im fine, what happened?" he asked but he already knew what happened. He was there. "A jet flew over the border, but we don't know why. I have a million calls coming in and everyone is panicked. Just stay home and don't leave, me and your father will be late and we might not come home tonight. There is food in the freezer, I love you." "love you too." Alex said and hung up the phone. That was close.
