The machine with the cylinder and the wheel thing on top of it had a countdown on it. What happened when it got to 0? Did they lose? She tried twisting the wheel, but it wouldn't budge.

WW: could you get this thing open for me, ple/)se?

She looked around the room for something she could combine with something else on the platform thingy her friend had mentioned. There were various objects related to her interests scattered around the room, (random art supplies, drawings, and music-related items,) but she had no idea what she could make out of them. Her lusus swam by the hive, (she could see since the walls were glass,) and sang a quick greeting.

MU: okay... you've got the Alchemiter, now we need the Totem Lathe and the Cruxtruder.
At least, that's what she thought they were called. The walkthrough had been brief, and ended at some point without finishing the game.

She moved the cursor over to the Cruxtruder and yanked. With a loud groan and a pop, the wheel twisted and the lid opened, forcibly ejecting a small glowing anomaly and a cylinder-shaped piece of a colored crystalline substance.

CC: -|=> The little glowy dude must be your guide, a sprite, I think it's called. <=|-
CC: -|=> It needs to be prototyped with something twice before you can understand it and it can guide you properly. <=|-
CC: -|=> I think any random two objects will do. <=|-

(How do you get the item that lets you get to your land, again? (Like John's apple or Dave's egg) I forget how you do it... )

(I think it was like this: by placing the Cruxite in the Totem Lathe and carving it, the Totem Lathe ejects a card that has the code for the key to entering the Medium written on it. This can then be placed in the Alchemiter with the newly-carved totem in the center (correct me if I'm wrong on that last bit) and the Alchemiter forms the Cruxite key to the Medium
I think that's how it's done)

As Lily set the other two thingies in the room, she looked up what the Cruxtruder did.
ES: ok you see the cruxtruder thing? it says you gotta like

"Okay," said Dawn, aloud. She dashed to her room and grabbed some things. Her fake Harry Potter want, which she stuck in her belt just in case, her Totoro plush, and her Rainbow Dash figure. She walked back downstairs to where the Cruxtruder was. "I'll put these in it," she said, holding up the figure and the plush. She set them down on the couch, and tried to turn the wheel on the Cruxtruder. It didn't budge.
MU:could you drop something on it?
