Miranda smiled. "No, I just spend a lot of time here. I haven't had much luck at camp," She said. "So, if you don't mind me asking, why are you here?"

She shrugged, "Well, I was bored and wanted company but didn't know if anyone wanted mine," she responded with frank honesty. Gwen was unconfident in herself and it was showing. She was surprised Miranda was smiling. Most didn't like her straight off and she hadn't exactly been friendly.

Miranda nodded. "Well, I'm Miranda, if you didn't know. A very.. Different child of Aphrodite," She kept her peripheral vision on Thalia.

Skyler walked in the forest, her big paws crushing dead leaves. Her deep brown eyes gazed around bordly

"What do you mean by that? Like, you're not vain?" Gwen inquired. Most Aphrodite kids were beautiful and vain. She didn't get along well with most but Miranda seemed...really nice.

"I find strong adrenaline rushes in fighting," Miranda said. "I don't focus on myself right now. I have a bullet implanted in my foot, so I'm not thinking about the roots in my hair."

She shrugged, narrowing her round brown eyes again. "I don't fight. But lots of demigods do..." The thought made her cautious. The fact that the same kids she slept in a cabin with knew how to kill just freaked her out. "And uh, how'd you get that bullet in your foot?" Gwen asked.

"Titan awakener," Miranda said, trying to find a simple way to explain Luke. "I shot him, so he shot me." Miranda gestured to the crutches below her chair.

Her brow furrowed in confusion. "Titan awakener? Sorry, I'm really very new here and I don't know much about, uh, titans and stuff. Would you mind explaining it to me?" She was a little annoyed t how out of place she felt.

"You know Kronos, right? Well, this guy was trying to awaken Kronos's family of Titans from their unconscious. They're extremely powerful." Miranda explained. "It's hard to wrap your head around, isn't it?"
