Kagami laughed, "Yeah...i guess I am." She said with a smile, catching his muttering and watching the wounds heal. "He's just a child too, is he not?" She asked with sincere curiosity, any malice she'd held for the other half of the boy lost. "Both of you lost and orphaned huh? "

Ayumi gave another whine through a sigh, wanting so bad to understand. She perked up at the scent of meat, however undress it was, and swiftly faced him. Her eyes of ever changing, flashing colors trapped within the silver sap of her irises finding the jerk instantly. A long, begging whine screamed out of her as she stared longingly at the food, her stomach growling and mouth watering.

"Well...I don't know anywhere..." Ikiro said as he opened a scroll and read. "But...we could just leave it there and operate the rest of it from there."

Gekrin smiled and ruffled through his bag more and held out some more strips of jerky. "Here..." he said. "Have some.

"...yes.." Ito murmured, rubbing at the scars on his forearms which Oti refused to heal, saying that they would remind Ito to listen to him. "Adopted... Then disowned... Unwanted.. Hated.." The boy started to scratch the marks as tears came to his eyes, his body trembling slightly. "Denied, abused, mistreated.. Misunderstood, made fun of, bullied.." He dug his nails deep into the scratch marks. Realizing what he done, he relaxed and crossed his arms. "...you're correct.." He murmured quietly.


"But don't you think they'll find it?"

Ayumi searched his face hesitantly, wondering if this was a trick. However hunger got the best of her and she snatched the jerk from his hand and quickly ate them in a couple bites, thoroughly cleaning the taste from her fingers. It wasn't as good as a fresh kill, however it was sustenance. She looked up at the boy gratefully, still hungry but much less tense because of it.

Kagami watched him and listened, her ears catching every emotion in each word and bringing up her own. However she pushed away any feelings that were rising in her own chest to reach out an comfort him. "Well, you don't have to worry about that here. This group is for outcasts." She smiled.

"Anytime." Gekrin said with a smile. "I'm sorry you're hungry..." he sadly said as he stood up. "I don't think you'll fit into town...I could help you get food." He said as he rubbed his stomach.

"I don't think so." Ikiro said casually. "It's a hollow tree in the forrest..."

He looked up through his silver locks at her sadly, not returning the comforting words or gaze. "The only problem is that I'm an outcast even from the outcasts.." Ito looked away, bringing his knees to his chest and resting his head on them.


Porcelain shook her head. "I mean the ones you followed. What if they find the passageway?"

[Furenzied]

"How do you think I got into the bandit lair? I followed them in, killed them, and waited a while for the 3 that weren't there to show up. I spent a week in there." Ikiro said with a sigh.

Ayumi recognized 'help' and 'food' and perked up, the chakra tail wagging a few times. She licked her lips hungrily, eager for more food if she could get some. Her eyes pleaded urgently.

Kagami chuckled and ruffled his hair playfully, "Even better." She said and gave him a wink, standing up as the tea kettle whistled in the kitchen. "Want some tea?" She asked.

"Ok. Sounds like you want it." Gekrin said with a laugh as he brushed his hair out of the way. "If you track, I'll help trap them." He said as he jumped into a tree.

"You don't think there are others?" Porcelain cocked her head.


"Yes please..." The quiet boy murmured, touching the crusted scars on his arms and collar bone.
