Onyxia blushed an even darker red as she smiled at him a little bit.

Damien shook his head. "You're lying. Did your father do this to you?"

Hazuki looked up. "Go away. I don't need or want your pity. Just leave me alone." She turned her head away

Onyxia got up again, wrapping her arms around his neck carefully as she hugged him gently, trying to not hurt his back.

Aeonus gently set Lily on her feet.

Aine's mouth flew open to deny it, but quickly closed again. She looked up at the boy in fear; what her father might do to her if someone found out. The people of Tarums thought he was a scoundrel as it were. She shook her head vigorously. "No," she whispered urgently.

Aine shook her head faster. "No, I..." Aine racked her brain. "I grazed my back against a briar bush." She tried to make it sound convincing, but panic was rising. She shuffled her feet back a step.
