- Aspen -

I was walking for some time, wondering if I should go to the air once more, but then decided it might be better if I traveled human form, making my footsteps quieter. I shifted quickly into my original self, the 15 year old girl I was, and continued, fingering my throwing knives nonchalantly as I would be ready if anything happened. It was some while until I reached a small clearing and frowned, shifting back to eraser form, and sniffing the air. The bird kids were some ways off, but I didn't need to find them right now. It was useless, seeing as they would probably get into the air sooner or later, or just stay there and not move at all, taking time to restock. Maybe they had found some water, and that was why.

I sat down a little farther forward from the clearing, just at the edge of it. I still had to hunt down those bird kids, but still, I needed my rest too. I leaned against a tree trunk that was swooping backwards, like a seat, and settled my head along with my back. Whenever I went to sleep, I would go into a state of mind, that partially allowed me to hear noises, but still get sleep. I tried to focus on that, but it seemed impossible to sleep at this time. I just felt restless. I opened my eyes almost instantly and frowned. Maybe I should practice my weapons, not that I really needed any practice, but I just felt like it. I stood up and whipped out a few of my throwing knives, throwing them swiftly at the tree, my target the center, and threw all three of them. Each of them hit the center easily, in a line downwards. I smiled slightly and fetched them, doing the same and the same, switching to my bow and crossbow every now and then, but I didn't use my poison, for what good would that do, except waste it?

Coyote heard the soft crunching noise of the Eraser's footsteps stop. After a short pause, he heard a repeated whizzing noise and thud. What in the world? He crept forward and looked through the tiny gaps in a thorn bush. There she was, a beautiful, orange and black Eraser. Coyote couldn't believe that he'd ever call those hideous Erasers beautiful, but she was a different story. She had something else in her, with more lithe legs than that of a disproportionate standard wolf-mix. Her fur was longer and glossy, and her eyes gleamed with intelligence and something more dangerous. Definitely not a fox, too tall, not a dog, I can see she's much stronger than a dog-mix, not a wolf, she's not ugly, and ha, not a coyote. I wonder..? A blade went flying through the air and landed directly in the same spot as other knives already in the tree trunk. Coyote pulled his head out of the clouds. Now is not the time to be admiring an Eraser, of all things! he thought, mentally slapping himself for being so stupid. I need to find out if she's after me, and if I need to kill her..

I frowned as I heard a sound, pausing for a moment, my tail swishing as I frowned. Someone was there, but it didn't seem like a true avian. Something different... I must have just been catching the scent of some avians way off, and the scent was just carried very far down towards me, unless there was someone watching me. Well, if the thing that was watching me planned to attack, I'd be ready. Once again I fetched the throwing knives, and picked them out of the tree effortlessly and returned to the rest of my stuff, putting them back into my belt, I sat down, yawning for a moment and then I picked at the feathers of my wings, finding that they were pretty dirty. I extended one further, picking out the dust and grime that had settled in there while i was taking that avian boy back to the School.

Coyote watched her closely. He figured there was really nothing he could at the moment. If he approached, she would definitely kill him. He knew that Erasers were the type to kill now and asked questions later. Coyote figured that he'd follow her for a while and figure out what she was doing. An unusual canine-mix lone Eraser, out in the woods, and well armed. Coyote thought that she was pretty suspicious. He gingerly lowered himself down until he was laying on the ground, his golden eyes still trained on her. As long as the wind didn't change direction, or she didn't feel eyes watching herself like he often could, he'd be fine for now.

I knew that something out there was watching me, but it didn't seem like it wanted to attack yet. I frowned and picked up my stuff, ready to go find some more water. That mere drink in the stream a few hours ago didn't do anything for my thirst. Whatever was watching me, could keep on watching me until it got bored for all I cared. That or until it came out of hiding and I killed it if it was a bird kid, or at least knocked it out. It didn't seem like a bird kid though, because usually they would run away right now, but this was following me. I soon found some water and knelt by the stream, shifting back into human form so that I had an easier way to drink the water. I shoved my black hair out of my eyes and drank slowly, filling up happily. Then I shifted back into eraser, feeling unprotected. Whatever was out there could be ready to kill me, as should I be to kill it.

Coyote leaped up a tree and followed her from above, silent as he traveled from branch to branch. She didn't seem to be following any tracks or hunting down avians. Then what's she doing? Dilly-dallying? He thought of ways to approach her. He couldn't exactly walk up to her say "Hello, are you hunting me down?". Maybe, I could attack her from above, knock her out, and either look through her stuff as an answer or get answers from her later. As in, after she's safely tied to a tree.. Coyote weighed his chances of beating her as he walked silently along a branch until he was almost directly above her.

(Gah! Sorry I've been gone so long... My computer access was suddenly taken away. >.< Have it back for about 2 and a half hours.)

Cody, who had been kinda quiet, looked at Brooke, thinking. Somehow she reminded him of someone, but he couldn't really put his finger on it. Like, someone which he had met before...

"Yeah, we'll be back soon," I said to the rest of the small group. I unfurled my golden yellow wings and soared into the sky after Gemma. I hovered at her side with a bright smile. "Ready?" I asked before heading off in the direction of the others. I kept at a pace that Gemma could easily keep up with, though.

Kira~

I kept a wary eye on Cody. Even Galen was wary of him. After all, he was still a complete stranger that only had an interest in Brooke. Creepy in my head. "Yeah, we'd better hide. Trees would be the best." I was sure that Brooke could climb a tree by herself. And, if she couldn't, Cody would be there to help. I unfurled my wings and darted into one of the trees, trying to shroud myself in the leaves.
