Blood Lillies - [ Zombie/Human]

Riley glanced up at him with a wince, and nodded weakly before letting her head roll back to the side with a shaky sigh. All her body wanted to do is welcome the darkness that started to settle over her at the moment, but she didn't want to black out again.

"'Kay" Roia readied herself and jumped onto a tree branch. "Wait for me to say that it's okay to come up. I'll help you up after I get on." Roia climbed up the tree and hoisted herself onto the roof. "Okay, you can get up now. Don't fall!"

Jace shrugged. "I don't really care. Whatever's easiest I guess." He didn't want to spend to much time trying to figure out how the moved worked when a zombie was about to rip apart his flesh. "And easy to remember."

Rick turned to the final page of the journal with writing on it. There were still a lot of pages left unwritten.

Oh, it's just horrible! Jace and I nearly got killed by zombies again. I don't want to be a zombie, and I'm so glad that Jace is protecting me. But I can't stop worrying about Rick and Amber and the others. Are they zombies now too?

I still can't help but wonder what it would be like to be a zombie though. Would it hurt while you changed? Would I crave my brother's flesh the same way I crave chocolate? or is it something else altogether? I'm so confused. I wish I could turn back time and find a way to make this never happen, that I could be with Auntie and Rick and the others again. And now I'm sure that they're all dead and zombies. I've never felt so alone.

Rick held the book close to his chest and rocked back and forth slowly on the mattress. "I'm here, Jess. I'm alive. You're not alone. You've got your bro and you've got me." He didn't want to go back out of the room, he just wanted to spend time with what was left of Jess.

Kat walked back to Kaylee, her eyes toward the ground. If she wanted to get close to Rick again, and have a possible easy meal, then she'd have to make friends with this wussy zombie. "I'm sorry." she said.

Her eyes became alert and she breathed in deeply. She recognized a scent. Jace was here, a few days ago. Where was he? If she wanted to see Rick, then she wanted Jace even more. He sounded... delicious.

((Kat has no control, and Rick's having a depressing moment. Oh joy.))

"Ok. I think sparing is the best. I'll go easy" Lily smiled. "We have padding if you want to use it." She had learned to control how hurt she hit and kicked long ago, but she wanted him to know he could use the padding if he wanted to.

Dexter soaked a wash rag with the warm water and went ahead and torn a bit of her shirt to get to the wound better, "sorry," he muttered quietly and started to clean the blood, all the while biting his bottom lip and ignoring the feelings the blood was stirring awake, he should have ate earlier he told himself, even with the meal last night it hadn't settled it down enough to handle the human blood smell.



"Shhh, shhh, you're safe here," Jeff told Belinda quietly, looking up at the door, worried since he had left Nomi alone.



"Apology accepted, but I won't forget what you said about Rick." Kaylee muttered, looking at Kat, going uneasy by the look she caught in her eyes. She quickly looked away, wondering what Rick was up to, she pulled herself back to her feet, "I'm going to take this outside," she mumbled, picking up what was left of the dog and starting out.


Mike followed the motions Roia had went through then stood beside her, balancing easily on the roof edge, "What next?" he asked Roia, looking over at her.

Belinda held onto Jeff crying. She held her bunny still.

"It's alright," Jeff repeated, hugging her, not sure what else to do to help her relax and stop crying.

Riley's breathing hitched when the warm cloth made contact with her wound, and biting her bottom lip to stop from yelling out. Her body did arch when a wave of pain settled down over her, and her mouth opened to scream but no sound escaped. She collapsed back down, but she was still trembling slightly from the pain.

"Relax...." Dexter muttered quietly, "if you move too much you'll hurt yourself more." he gently set the wash cloth aside and grabbed the bandages, "I have to wrap your shoulder, it's going to hurt so brace yourself," he told Riley, looking down at the wound, "promise me you aren't going to take on a buck again, alright?"

Riley glanced up at him, and a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips, "I'll try, but I ain't promising you anything." she replied back sarcasticly, cringing slightly though afterwards. Even when she is hurt she can't help but be sarcastic. She tried to relax like he said, but it was difficult since every few seconds a wave of pain settled down over her.

Dexter smirked, then set about wrapping the wound, he had to wince at the thought of how much pain this was causing her, but he gritted his teeth as he wound and wound the cloth over and over.
