Riley nodded in agreement, following beside him, "Sorry that I growled at you, I didn't mean too." she murmered sheepishly, dipping her head slightly and stared at the ground.

"It's alright," Dexter smiled slightly, "you didn't mean to, it's just a new part of you." he explained.

"Yeah, a new part of me that I hate." sighed Riley, looking at the ground and shuffling her feet as she walked towards the stream.

Dexter sighed, ducking his head, "Sorry again," he looked off in the distance.

Riley looked up at Dexter and sighed, placing a hand on his arm, "It's alright, i'll learn to live with it." she reassured quietly, offering a small smile to cheer him up.

Dexter smiled faintly and nodded, "You're already better at control then any other young zombie I've seen," he shrugged slightly, "you didn't try and eat the boy, and you were able to not attack me when I was eating the deer in front of you."

"I still had the thought of attacking you, and it was disturbing to know that a part of me wanted to rip you to shreds." pointed out Riley with a sigh.

Dexter nodded, "I'm sure if we hunt often enough together that part of you will slowly start to recognize me, I hope," he added as they reached the stream of water, he knelt down to wash off his hands and around his mouth.

"Yeah, I hope so too." replied back Riley, kneeling down beside Dexter and washing off the blood from her hands and mouth. After she finished cleaning, she smirked and playfully pushed Dexter, hoping he would fall into the water.

Dexter gasped and tried to stop his fall but he ended up falling face first into the water. He rose up growling playfully at Riley as he splashed the water toward her.
