He was getting too predictable, it seems. He didn't want to risk killing her, but he didn't want to leave empty-handed, either. So, he began changing his tactics. He gazed at her for a few moments- waiting for the right moment. He grinned- before his stomach almost seemed to open like a maw, as he shouted "NOAH-SAMA!!" At this 'maw', a ball of energy, which was pretty large, began to form. Once it was ready, which didn't take much time, he fired it at Helena.

He was prepared to dodge as soon as she reached for another branch. He slipped out of its path, although the branch did rip through another nightmare, which Pitch ignored. He lifted a palm, and black sand swirled there, forming into a long, javelin-like weapon. "You're already down. But if you insist, we can make it worse for you." A few more nightmares closed in on Max, looking as if they wanted nothing but to crush her skull in. Pitch absentmindedly twirled his weapon between his fingers. He had no problem using it, of course, but felt that it would cost him unnecessary time and effort, so he chose to wait a few heartbeats more.Maximum Ride

I winced, gritting my teeth. I knew, and had known, that I didn't have a chance from the start. But... how couldI give in? I had to delay, and there was no better way to delay than to talk. "What do you want with me? How did I get here?!" I hissed furiously, idly tugging at the brambles in attempt to loosen the wretched things. My eyes followed Pitch's movements, swallowing as he conjured a black spear thing from the same sand that the horses were made of. I swiped my hand at the horses closing in, as I had lost my trusty stick.

Gopher, awhile Helena was still ducking- attempted to go in for a punch, hoping to daze or stun her enough for him to capture her.

He muttered under his breath, as he went in to punch with his other hand- not considering the fact that his other wrist could get caught, too, seeing how well the first attempt to punch her went.
